Time Out Issue
I don't understand. I have Olympus running on one of my unofficial servers. Others with less beefy computers are able to log in without a problem. I, however, tried for 4 hours last night and just kept getting Host Connection Timeout.

I have increased my virtual memory, I have verified my Steam files. Is this a common issue others have with the Olympus map? Any way to fix it? I really want to play this map (hell I didn't have this problem with Crystal Isles and it was known to be a bear on resources).

Yeah, i have the same issue.
I delete the mod and install the mod again (and all mods in the server anyway) i delete the file of the map to reinstall, i check Steam files, Virtual memory, i close all things for load the map but nope, Time out every time :( . I'm on a role play server, and i need the map for my character. But i cant go so, i'm sad :(

If someone have the answer ;w;

I decided to just uninstall it and switched that server to Valguero. Not as cool or as fun, but at least everyone can log into it at any time.

This is the 2nd mod map I have been excited about only to have someone on my server face this same sort of issues. So, for now, I'll stick to official maps until mod maps can somehow be more optimized or whatever is causing this issue.

I have ASM to 10 servers and they works fine
tryed same with Olympus and it will not be downloaded
i have tryed to copy in it to the map and it will not work ??????

I decided it is just too unoptimized. My guess is that because of that the load time is just too long and causes the time out.

I tried all the tricks too...Incresed virtual memory, validated files, deleted mods....Nothing worked. I don't have a crap machine. I play every official map on highest settings. But even logging into Olympus with "very low memory mode" or "no sky effects" still timed out. Sadly, because the once or twice I was able to log in, I really liked the look of the map.

Yes what will we do to to game Olympus on our own server??
