Books have no effect anymore?

Hi there,

I'm not sure if I just oversaw it, but I've read all the books you can by from the Student of the Citadel and Scholar Lomaris, yet my stats didn't improve from reading the books. Usually when I've read certain books, my attributes would increase.

Does anyone else has the same problem?
