sometimes lords have already taken the troops, and if you dont have renown you have to bribe the village elder for 100 coins

I haven't found an option to bribe the elder and every village I go to I can't recruit, has every lord dried out every village of recruits?

You have to go inside the village.
And then find the village elder.

I also, have not had the option to bribe the village elder, even with over 600 renown, and being the lord of the village.

Also, I have never been able to successfully "Forcibaly Recruit"...
Aside from rescuing prisoners, I only am able to recruit troops from Inns and asking around in towns if anyone want to join me.

Ya how long does it take for villages to replemish recruits?

Oh wait, I should mention this, that ONCE, I was able to recruit from a village in the Vale, the one right next to Gulltown. Only ONCE though....

me too I'm having the same problem. I hope this is fixed soon because I can't play this awesome mod. :(

A work around for the time being is going in to inns & taverns and some times they have peasants and other troops in there you can hire in person.

Yes, there are noteably more peasants, levies, and footmen in Inns in this new version.
It's been the best way for me to recruit. Otherwise I do get a lot of troops from rescuing prisoners from bandits, especially in the North near Winterfell.

Im able to recruit from one village now since its my fief and I had to wait a while. So when you get a fief just wait and eventually you may be able to recruit from them

I can't recruit from villages. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. That's the only cheap way to efficiently raise an army. Now I have to play hide and seek with soldiers in taverns or pay a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money just to hire a lord and his 10 soldiers and I'm not doing either of those. Time to take a break from this mod I guess. Someone tell me if it gets fixed.
