Spy hunter quest

I lost sight of the spy and can't find him now. Does he go somewhere or did i just broke the mission?

EDIT: Found them, they stop near north-Storm's end, in the kingswood

I will add, right when you go over the bridge Wendwater is on the left. Go to the right, they're in there.

Well I cant find them.Am I just blind or can they disappear or get killed?

Idk, north of Storm's end, near the kingswood, that's where they stop.
