Good mods to go alongside this
Title says it all, looking for good gear mods,addons and especially maps that go well with this mod.

Not many too be honest. UNSUNG is a large mod with a lot of content already inside. Some would say that possibly Air Cav Vietnam being the other available Vietnam mod is good to run alongside and with that also Variable's map "Nam", but if we go into map territory usually you'll end with a lot of good jungle maps such as Song Bin Tanh and N'ziwasogo are good ones too, but very likely the Prei Kmach Luong, bludclots map and another one upcoming he's doing. As for back to mod, Advanced Combat Environment (ACE) and Task Force Arrowhead Radio (TFAR) or Advanced Combat Radio Environment (ACRE) are usually go to's for communities. You might find existing cold war mods such as Soviet Army Rearmed (Currently 345th SGVAR on workshop).

A few ideas missions wise might be, MCC Sandbox creator, Its like Zeus For Ingame mission making but alot more options, and It also has a Mission generator based upon the area you want a Mission in, and multiple options ranging from strength & Skill to if theres tanks or if theres Helo bourne reinforcements.

Medium Utility Helicopters
Nice Lil' Mod. Adds A small pack of Helos. a few are modern like a Merlin and Blackhawk. But most are Multiple variants of Huey's ranging Cool transports to Gunships with sharkteeth on the nose sides. And they have a very realistic but still easy to fly feeling to their movement. (AKA It isnt a Littlebird but neither is it a Super heavy af Cargo Helo) Same for some MI-8s In the Pack

We use Unsung "the other way". We have Exile on our server and have completely rewritten it.
All loottables contain only unsung equipment and weapons.
There are only Unsung vehicles and those that were already available in 1965.
Plus A3XAI NPCs fighting only with VC and NVA equipment. As roaming AI at random points (15 Teams between 4 and 6 men).
Then another script that randomly spawns sniper trees on the entire map (arround 50).
As map we use G.O.S Song Bin Tanh (15x15 km).
The result? Vietnam as it really was...... the Vietcong determined WHEN, WHERE and HOW LONG was fought.
Currently we are working on another script that let punji traps spawn randomly.

some milsim clans use

TFAR radio (supported by unsung)
Enhanced movement (works fine)
STUI (works fine)

ACE3 (some problems but people like the medical system)
ACRE radio (unsung support is WIP)
Smoking cigs (seems to work)

Have you tried Vcom it makes the units a lot more aggressive. ive seen AI track my players down while surpessing and smartly placing nades
