got a slight issue, since 1.3 this mod works great apart from the class icons. the icons are back to the LW icons. not sure how to fix it. do i need to change the mod load order or unsub/resub. any advice would be grateful. great mod

Yep -- in a vast majority of cases.. simply UnSub+ReSub (to qUIck_LW2) seems to enforce the correct Load/Order after LW2 rolls-out their own major updates. It's always a good idea to follow DeaconIvory's tricks (on Pavonis Site) when installing or pre-loading the next games, in fact.

The technical issues you might have are directly related to the (necessary) Class-Icons Swapp'IMG processing and how THEIR files structure is being re-organized via a UC-script shuffle of GFX assets at runtime.. while my switches are done directly by MC-controller (webapp helpers) & pulled from custom UPK resources in my local content folder.

This situation can also occur with old saves, btw. Since.. various caching steps sometimes fail when Steam tries (miserably at that) to reset the absolutely terrible Order checks.

Lemme know!

I think re-subbing might have solved it for ya! Glad you could work it out. Thanks for the compliment, i appreciate it. ;)

DLC isn't a requirement here, but for LABrynth it is. Do I actually need the DLC or is it only there because the mod alters DLC if one has it as well?
Zyxpsilon  [developer] Jul 17, 2017 @ 6:14am
The DLC "required" aspect is a simple reminder that *IF* you have them installed & active, qUIck_LW2 will still show up various informations related to these special gameplay contexts.

LAByrinth works in a similar way.. some localization aspects are processed inside the custom articles while the DLC are presents. An example of this can be detected with the "WAI" section where i develop a tech-tree that exposes costs about those items; IF LongWar2 is installed, the script-code would then dynamically report such details directly but keep Vanilla values if it isn't.

This mod would work just fine even without any DLC as it only gets what it needs "locally" via alternate resources pulled from my specific UPK or INT files. Certain infos simply feel strange when DLC isn't active while qUIck_LW2 is running.

Hi,

I tried this today but seemingly the class icons are not working (only the text is colored). Initially I had WoTC DLC installed (by default) but I was using AML to play Vanilla X-Com. Tried the WoTC version (but to no surprise it was not working at all with Vanilla). So:

- Uninstalled WoTC DLC
- Deactivated all mods in AML
- Deleted Config folder again
- Unsubscribed / re-subscribed to this mod + dependencies
- Started new save with just this activated

Class icons stil don't appear, only the text is colored. Loot and Research shows-up OK I think.

Well.. look straight above (May 2017) into the swift conversation with "x-the-Andy-x" for some *verification* tricks of hybrid compatibility under certain settings/conditions.
The problem is caused by various interactions between already conflicting mods that must be identified by the AML scan !!-before-!! any diagnostic or fix can solve the issues, considering the highly variable setups created by multiple mods simultaneously.
