Colonists lose all pigmentation in their skin with this mod.

Hi, as the title suggests, upon enabling this mod my colonists (and only my colonists) lose their skin pigment and turn vampire white. As soon as I load the save, the first thing I notice is that my colonists' skin tones get completely randomised (and some even have their facial structures changed), then as I unpause the game, within a few seconds they all turn completely white.

When I try changing their skin colour using a dresser (Facial Stuff), nothing changes.

Interestingly, all other world pawns also get their skintones randomised. In the photo attached, James used to be white. Now he's black, but when I force-spawned him into my colony he didn't go pale like all the others. Still, I couldn't change his skintone using a dresser either.

There's nothing in the error log that relates to HAR. Any suggestions?

Getting this same issue. Colonist skin pigment becomes random when I load this onto an existing save.
Removing this mod from the load order fixes it.

Fix, right....
Again check mod options, that should fix it.

There's only one option in the Mod Options list: Use central melanin for factions. Switching it either way doesn't fix anything I'm afraid.

you did switch that before loading the save, right ? Once the color is set, there is no real going back.

Yes. I am doing this on a pre-HAR save in both cases.

I checked with a few others, but can't find anyone to replicate your problem. If you activated the mod option and then loaded a pre alien race save... I can't really tell you. It has to be a specific mod incompatibility or something in your game.

I've created a brand-new save with only Harmony, Core, Royalty, HugsLib, JecsTools and HAR. The skin colour and facial structure randomisation still occurs no matter the setting toggle.

toggling the options keeps the old hue for me, thank you. on the other hand i still have the feeling that when i change the skin color, it does show in the change mirror preview, but unless it is a bigger change it does not show on the pawn (like 10-20 hue/saturation)

I'm having the same issue and I can replicate it by adding your mod on an existing save. However it doesn't seems to affect a save generated with the mod.

I'm also having this problem as well, but I noticed it even changes face shape too, certain pawns going from round faces to square etc. It also seems to stretch hairstyles slightly, making them look larger.

Interestingly, flicking the melanin option to true makes them retain their skin tones, but still changes face shape and affects hairstyles. I can provide before and after logs/save files if you would like.
