Dubs Bad Hygiene
Vanilla temperature vs Bad Hygiene
Which is more efficient in terms of saving power? Would cooling/heating (I only use electric heaters so far for hot water) 3 seperate buildings cost less power with the modded AC units or with the vanilla coolers?

Did some testing, looks like if i replaced all my coolers with the mod AC I actually use 1000 more power during the night when my solar panels aren't working. Dunno if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just meant to be less efficient

there's a hell of a lot of variables for it really, like room size, how much your doors vent, if you have vents or not, the main benefit for the outdoor units is that you can make freezers anywhere without needing to fiddle with having walls or heat outlets in the right places and you can adjust the total power usage with a button click, for general room cooling i mostly just use ceiling fans since i added them

Oh I completely forgot those were in the mod, I'll give it a shot!

If there is no reason to use your temperature system (cost more in terms of power and materials, the heating system and cooling system use completely separate systems, much of the cooling is made redundant using your ceiling fans) would it be possible to have the option to have these things hidden from the architect menu?

I'd recommend Gizmo Begone!

You can disable the icons for anything you like.

its not redundant though, its mainly for building freezers anywhere in your base, the aircon units i just threw in because i knew people would want them too

It might cost more in terms of resources, but it allows you to completely override the heat exhaust system, this is a HUGE benefit if you just like your buildings to look a certain way, if you're doing mountain bases, or if you've got some deep interior rooms you didn't plan heat exhaust for. I absolutely LOVE this aspect of this mod, because I don't like the way that the coolers/vents break up walls.

And this is without even needing the freezer aspect because I use rimfridge, but if I didn't, that would also be amazing, because it's really obnoxious having to have so many cooling units to get your freezers optimal.

This seems like perhaps an oversight relating this mod to temperature, but I have a filled
and usable water tub in a room that is like -40 F. Not saying that the entire tub would necessarily freeze completely solid (although it prolly would), but anyone who would want to use it would at least need to punch through the ice to get to the water. If I remember correctly, putting the water bottles in the freezer doesn't actually freeze them either. Is this an oversight, or just too much trouble to deal with stuff freezing? I mean, streams and water in the game doesn't freeze over in vanilla (although the Nature's Pretty Sweet mod does add that; too bad it's currently borked).
