Couple questions prelaunch of your new patch
Heya Spud,
First off, i hit the end of the tech tree last night, omg those new guns are nuts, way too much fun. That and everything else, thank you for your time and devotion to this, you REALLY have improved this tame a LOT.

Now to my question:
1). There is no way i will have time to finish my current game before your patch hits and hoses my current save. So how would i go about not losing it all again. I assume this will involve nexus mods and some mod loader. I remember load order is important too, you first or Sol?
Can you advise?

2). Between you and Sol, do you make it redundant to use the fighter balance mod? It is the bigger one on steam. I can get the link if needed.

Thanks!

Yes you'll need to finish your game using the mod from Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/masteroforionconquerthestars/mods/6/?. There are install instructinos on the readme on the Nexus page. The best thing to do is to load 5X before UCP but delete ShipBlueprintTemplates.yaml from the Unofficial Code Patch folder.

I think the fighter balance mod is unnecessary if you're using 5X and UCP. 5X already makes them stronger and UCP makes them perform better as well.

What tool do you recommend for setting launch order of mods?

Hey Spud,
I loaded the previous version form Nexus as you suggested, and disabled the one from Steam, and I get the different mod version error, when it loads it locks and crashes to desktop.
Went and deactivated the one on steam so it doesnt show up anymore, same problem.

Any thoughts on it so I can finish my game, or am I screwed?

Are you using any other mods? The mod order has to be the same as you had it before. The mod loading order is set by the order of the mods on the Mods screen, which you can change using the arrows on the left side by each mod.

Make sure you've downloaded the right version. The previous version was 3.1. If you still can't get it to work, share your save here via Dropbox or Google drive (or whatever else you have) and I'll see what I can do. If you do share your save, please let me know what other mods you're using including the UCP version of you're using that.
