As for the orion building, it is intentional that you can't build those on uber biomes. Uber biomes come with an extra building that provides more buffs. What the orion building does is basically give to gaias a similar though prehaps slightly better benefit than those received by the uber biome buildings for the player who defeats the guardian. This most benefits races that don't already have their own uber biome.
Besides the building bonuses, uber biomes differ from gaias in their pollution cleanup and food output. Gaias produce 4 average food per cell and absorb 35 pollution.
Tropical/Coral: 4.6 food & 25 cleanup
Marsh/Forest: 4.2 food & 30 cleanup
Grassland/mountainous: 3.8 food & 35 cleanup
cavernous/cybernetic: 3.4 food & 40 cleeanup
Under "structure_orion_infrastructure", I added an uber biome:

When I tried loading my game I got the save game warning (same as I got during the recent update), but now the game won't load. Is there a quick fix for this? I mean, I already got economic victory and am just playing for fun, but hoping to attack Antares before I let this game go.

I knew UCP "unlocked" a lot, but with your 5x UBM events are common enough that I am experiencing a lot of "new stuff".
I meant to "upgrade" to 5X UBM years ago, but my life derailed. I’m “back on tracks” now and finally got to play again. I wanted to play "(UCP) vanilla" enough, to truly appreciate UBM…
I’m keenly aware of everything you’ve done. My God, if this game had released with what UCP+5XUBM do, it’d have been a complete success.

I've noticed I get way more in-game-events with 5X + UCP than with UCP alone; some I had never seen before (with some GNN "footage" I never saw before). Is it posible that 5X unlocks some content that UCP alone doesn't?
(For example, there's a "flux" event that prevents warp travel between star systems for many turns, and a "plague" event that affects a single colony -similar to the super nova event- which requires research to be fixed. Both I had never seen before using 5X with UCP vs using UCP only.)
as far as i know, tactical mod alters their behaviour. not sure if this does what you are looking for, but i think most likely you will not find a way to increase difficulty as much as you want without making them "cheat"

Does the mod list look ok? And I assume anything that modifies component stats probably won't work with 5X?

Also can the custom trait screen be fixed from cutting off on the right side? I tried changing resolutions but that didn't do anything?

They work perfectly now, even with 5X+UCP.
