Upcoming Engineer Changes (7/8/18)
While everything else here has long since been added on Nov 1st 2018, consider the "being able to move buildings" perk to be on permanent hiatus until further notice, not to say it'll never happen but it's not priority anymore. Engie's fine with or without it imo.

Engineer has not had an update in nearly a year, time flies, but we've been working on some changes you may like, use this discussion post to discuss these changes and what you think of them or what else you might add as we finish it up for the very near future. Ty!

Engineer and Building Changes
We've been all ears about your balance changes you've been wanting these past years, buffs and nerfs alike, so we'd like to introduce some decently major changes to how Engie and his buildings work.
-Engineer can no longer stack multiple buildings at a time
What this means is that Engineer will no longer be able to build hundreds of his buildings per world. They will now have a set amount which can be built per Engie. The recipe is locked if you have the set amount. If a building is destroyed it's unlocked you can build again.
Configs include changing the numbers for each building, disabling each building's limit, or disabling it all together.
Note that these are not set in stone and are set to change as per feedback, i.e they could be all set to 3 instead of different numbers or off by default.

Limits: Sentry = 4, Dispenser = 6, Exit/Entrance = 10

All buildings can now be carried via right click
This one was heavily requested throughout the years, and it's set to potentially be added. It will function similarly to carrying marble sculptures and the like but with in his Toolbox. Slowed movement speed while carrying included.

Minor Misc Changes
While only two were big enough to need to be discussed, there's of course smaller stuff that has added up over time. Engie is more or less being overhauled, so be weary of current worlds, but we're doing our best to avoid any nonsense!
- Other players can no longer hammer Sentries, unless playing as Engineer or The Spy
- Fixed a few animation bugs with the Rancho Relaxo
- Fixed the dispenser's fuel arrow not appearing
- You can now see a description of the recipes when selecting a recipe difficulty in the mod configs
and a few other changes that have come to some of my other mods as well, such as the golden name and updated quotes.

We hope for at least some feedback before this goes live whenever it's finished! Thank you all for 200k subscribers and so much support, it means a lot to us, thank you! Cheers!

And be sure to keep it about Engie rather than "Pyro next pleas", we'd love to hear your thoughts on these changes!

I suggest that the speed at which you haul buildings isnt as slow as carrying a marble statue.

Oh, and i'd like to remind you to add in BLU skins to the engineer's buildings so that way i and many others won't be annoyed by having the BLU engineer skin on and using red buildings. And a BLU Rancho Relaxo taunt if there isnt one already.

Oh! I thought of a few more things to add either durring or after this update!

The engineer's hard had skins.

And maybe a few wrench skins.

But most importantly, other wrenches.

Like, how cool would this be?

It's like we're recreating valve's entire engineer update!

I realy like these changes. It would also be nice to see BLU variants of buildings.
But like I said, I realy like these changes and I can't wait for them to be in-game.

EDIT: Ideas

Reclaimed Metal - A better version of Scrap Metal. Heals building for more and gives Sentry Guns more ammo. (Crafting Reclaimed Metal will be better than just using Scrap Metal)

Refined Metal - A better version of Reclaimed Metal. Same thing as above.

New Wrenches.

Golden Wrench - Last longer that a normal wrench and has a very very VERY rare chance of turning enemies into gold statues after killing them (Werepigs and/or hounds due to them having a statue form in-game. Bosses can't be turned). These Statues can be mined with a pickaxe to get some gold nuggets.

The Jag - Less Healing for buildings and Ammo for Sentries but can use less Metal to upgrade them.

Buildings:

Teleporters now have a cooldown after a player used them.
Can now be upgraded to LV.3, decreasing the cooldown and teleport delay.

Minisentry - A cheaper version on a normal sentry gun. Can't be upgarded, less damage (or range), less health and less resources when destoyed but can be placed instatly, can be carried in your inventory (doesn't stack, can have only 2 at a time and can't be held by non-Engineer characters) and less scrap metal/gears to make them.
[ Basically a bad version of Houndius Shootius]

Thats all I have (for now at least)

EDIT 2: Config Ideas

Sentry's max ammo
Sentry's ammo regeneration
Movement Speed penalty when moving buildings
Teleporters have Health points
Dispensers restore hunger (for some reason)

EDIT 3: Even more Ideas

Eureka Effect - While Equipped RIGHT-CLICK on the Teleporter Exit to link it with the wrench (Teleporter Exit can be changed). Then Player can RIGHT-CLICK on the wrench while equipped to Teleport to that Teleporter Exit. Each use of teleportation takes -15 Sanity and 5% durability.
Non-Engineer Characters lose -30 Sanity and can't change the linked Teleporter Exit.

Eureka Effect Heals Buildings and Restores Sentry's ammo at a same rate as a normal Wrench but takes more Metal to Upgrade them.

Texas Ten Gallon - Can be crafted in "Dress" tab. While Equipped:
-Sentry Guns deal 15% more damage.
-Dispensers Heal +1 Health per sec.

These Effects work ONLY if Engineer is near his OWN buildings and is close enough to them.

Not at all im just behind on this update. Had to get a second job and deal with some real life issues and stuff and more stuff and theres that other stuff ect ect...
