Clothing racks
First off im wondering if anyone else is still experiencing the quality downgrade for clothing placed inside the racks? More importantly though what other types of storage does this mod add? Will this serve as an alternative to using shelves as part of my armory?

Cracked open the mod's dll's - it looks like when it splits things off of its internal stack of things it copies the data of the stored items, removes it, and then spawns the things. It does 'apply' the current hitpoints, but clothing (or weapon) quality is not set explictly - I suspect that the default value for spawned items is 'normal'.

So in order:
  1. Yep.
  2. See below.
  3. Probably not.

HazMat
  • Uranium

Food Basket
  • Raw Food
  • Plant Matter
  • Drugs
  • Herbal Medicine
  • Pemmican
  • Kibble

Clothing Rack
  • Apparel

Medicine Cabinet
  • Medicine
  • Drugs

Skip
  • Raw Resources
  • Stone Chunks
  • Slag Steel

Pallet
  • Raw Resources
  • Manufactured
  • Plant Matter
  • Drugs
  • Mortar Shells
  • Hay

Oh damn even months later the quality bug is still unfixed? hoping author is just waiting for 1.0

And tyvm for the detailed response on everything the mod adds. All I want is to have a room dedicated to holding all my weapons and armor but if the storage only holds a bit like vanilla stacks then im screwed :=

Glad to help - this mod basically removes the warehouse management sim aspect of the game, so I do like it.

While making a tweak to the download, you could easily add weapons to the pallet or the storage locker if you're comfortable with hand editing XML.

But as-is, the Storage Rack does hold armor (as it's classified as Apparel) - it's definitely subject to quality 'normalization' if forcefully ejected, but I don't think that occurs when something is explicitly removed by a pawn from the Storage Rack.

check version 3.4 or later on github[github.com].

That should no longer reset item quality on splurge. (Although the curent workaround of simply keeping things stacked does not interact well with save/load).
