Frackin' Universe

Can anything be done with the darkness?
Hi all! I've played Frackin Universe for some time (160 hours you say?). Can't tell I enjoy it 100%, but overall it indeed adds a lot of diversity and fun to the game and I most certainly want to give it a second go... if it weren't for that idiotic darkness. In some planets I can't literally see a thing. Especially when it's day in the real life. Is it some tech I've missed (except for pressing my glasses against the monitor and covering us both under blanket)? Or maybe there is a setting / console command or a compatible mod that removes this feature? I can live with many planets being totally hollow, glitchy caves under the ocean planets or being unable to tell between the foreground and background tiles... But this darkness just breaks the whole mod for me.

Planets that are that dark during the day are -supposed- to be, and are explained directly in lore or UI information splats. The rest have ordinary day/night cycles. If you are complaining that planets named Penumbra, Lightless and Midnight are *dark* then that's a little silly, so I will assume you mean something else.

You can conquer/reduce the darkness with various light effects, techs, equippable EPPS, armor, racial abilities and consumables. If you are affected by Darkness as a status effect, ingest Darklight Flower, for example.

As for removing it: nope. This is intentional design because darkness is a thing in reality, and it adds tension and mood to the worlds in which it is thoroughly present.

Thank you for the answer!
Yeah, I was talking about Penumbra-like planets...
