Traveling large distances on the star map?
I want to warp my ship to a friend's star system, but the fuel cost caps out at 999,999 (which i'll never be able to satisfy). Vanilla used to cap your fuel cost to only a few thousand for long jumps, letting you warp huge distances on the star map with a full fuel tank.

Is there some way for me to meet this fuel demand in-game?

well, option 1: use the in-built party system to travel directly to your friend. You can't park your ships side by side anyhow so the distance is utterly irrelevant either way.

or option 2: get fuel purifiers, and fuel efficiency increasing crew members. You can reduce your total travel cost by a maximum of 99%, so that can substantially impact your fuel expenditure.

I'm just trying to launch a space station, not dock ships or anything. Will that much fuel efficiency help when our star map coordinates are millions of units apart from each other?

Best option, delete your universe folder, and copy your friends into its place. You will be in the same place as him with exactly the same universe.

But even with similar universes, only the one you are playing in, the one owned by the host, will change when you make stuff. Your own will always be the same unless you play SP or become the host yourself.
