Bug Reports - Put em Here!
Any bugs reported without an error log will be utterly ignored or deleted. We require it to accurately track your issue. If you can't take the 15 seconds it takes to paste it, why should we take the time to help?

To obtain a log:

within your starbound directory in /starbound/storage. Specifically, I need starbound.log. NOT starbound.log1,2,3,4 or 5. Starbound.log. If you do not see it, you do not have file extensions turned on. It will therefore appear as a text file named "starbound". You can find this log in your starbound/storage folder. This can be accomplished by right-clicking the game in your steam library, selecting "properties" and then "Local Files" , and then Browse Local Files.

Also, do *not* attach your log file in raw text. Supply the pastebin.com link of your *entire log file*, not a portion of it, as requested on the description page.

Please be sure to include a link the the starbound.log if you want the issue addressed. I will *completely ignore* any issues not presented with a log.


NOTE: Make sure that you have :

a)given time for the mod to download. FU is large. So is FrackinMusic. Huge, in fact. You can *not* press Subscribe and be ready to play 4 minutes later. If you attempt to launch before they are downloaded you will not be able to start the game and will need to unsub and resub to the mods. Patience is a virtue for a reason.

b) do not have discord overlay turned on. It doesn't play nice with SB, especially with FU in place. You may experience issues playing with it active (such as freezing on load forever)

c) read the main mod page. For the love of God. I have had more than 50% of bug reports be because people do not do this. Make sure you do *not* have any mods installed in the linked Incompatible mods list https://frackinuniverse.miraheze.org/wiki/Incompatible that are tagged potentially problematic.

Only AFTER a , b and c are complete should you report your issue.

The larger first slime died ( I believe exploded sound fire burst effect triggered), I think the smaller slimes might have spawned, but I'm unsure because it is at that moment the game seemed to freeze for just a second as I was kicked back to my ship. I hope this helps and can help you solve this bug. :)

On an unrelated note, I have just a couple of side questions. One was I noticed that the Poe Tree has been changed to require a "Spliced Cell" but I can't seem to figure out how to make it (I've made the cell material, viral cell material (and I THINK it was the mutated cell material?) but no spliced cell. I've also found durable mutagen, potent mutagen, and powerful mutagen. So I'm unsure if I'm doing something wrong there. Still cool additions. But the Lab directory which lists the spliced cell isn't offering any guidance on how to attain it. I just wanted to check to see if I'm doing something wrong, or if I just haven't made the right stuff yet.

Secondly, I was looking over the Lab Directory for immunization gene, and all of the seeds that seem to produce the immunization gene seem to require the immunization gene, I think (I'm not sure about the Tyuok Seed as I haven't unlocked its recipe yet this run to check). But I just wanted to check if that was a new change or issue as it seems like short of randomly getting at least 2 immunization genes elsewhere at random drops that the requirement of having to have the gene to make the plants to give you the gene would seem like a catch-22 sort of locking you out of that gene related branch.

heh. Int his case it had nothing to do with anything you were doing. I just made a typo.

in any case, this is a loot-list error and easily correct. will fix today.

as for the rest: this isnt "how do i find things" forum. or to ask about recipes. pick up cell material. thats the only hint you need for the spliced cell.

as for the gene you asked about: jsut put plants into the right station till you find the gene you need.

Game loaded fine this morning, loaded it up tonight and crashed while loading.
Did a few basic checks and looked through the logs; game loads up fine missing just FU, or missing just the Slime Race Mod, and the error appears to be a repeated type conflict for 'slimenpchumantenant'

Since this updated today and since the slime mod updated 2017, I'm assuming something here was the cause.

Ok um since the update of the mod my game crashes. It also happened to my friends.
It also says something about an duplicate entry in the critters or something.

no worries. easy fix. Mostly appears to be due to having the slime race mod itself installed. Generally speaking, you don't need it anymore. It's a direct port, minus a few minor things. That said, i can switch up the patch file and it should resolve the issue overall.

It's really minor, but is water intended to add the recipes for advanced plastic and chainsaw on pickup? It looks like those might have been copied over from items/liquids/oil.liqitem.patch into water.liqitem.patch and accidentally left in.

Sorry for the long post, Sayter. All I meant about the spliced cell, was not that I wanted the recipe itself. It was just that I picked up cell matter, and two items became unlocked, though neither of those were the spliced cell, I made those two, in turn, but I got no further unlocks when making those two if I saw correctly. I just wanted to make sure I either hadn't stumbled on a bug, or done something wrong, or had something messed up with my save. But if it is as intended then no issue then, I will assume I haven't unlocked enough stuff and keep going forward. I enjoy the discovery, I just wanted to make sure I hadn't screwed something up. Thank you for your time, and the bug fixes about the slime as well of course.

Hey there, I keep getting consistent crashes to ship whenever I enter a slime biome, apparently from a bad spawn type called 'greenshoat'.

Apart from that, it seems the mantizi flag is being given to all races (I tried with human, floran and avian). I'm not sure if this is intended behavior or just an oversight.

thats a "irrelevant so who cares" thing. Im aware of it, but literally nothing is affected.
