FU build a ship
On a co op server that I am hosting, My cousin has the ability to build his ship on my server and I do not...Also he modified his ship before fixing it so now he cannot complete the repairs or access his navigation console...is there a way to fix this or will he just have to start all over again?

only NEW characters can build a ship. The option is given at startup when you first access SAIL, and at no other time.

As for the nav console...if your friend followed the in-game text in the quests and actualy bothered to read quest info: Penguin Pete straight up tells you to keep the erchius and that you need to build an FTL drive with them before you can fly the ship in BYOS mode :)

Get in the habit of reading things. FU is full of text that is quite important.

HE needs to craft it at a machining table (he will need to craft the "Small FTL Drive" one)

im am the cousin with the problem... i made a new charactor and started with a customizable ship that pete cannot repair so i made a small ftl drive and it still says navagation offline....

the cuctom race patch just changes the Tier 0 ship of the race to be the BYOS one, so if they have the BYOS one, then they have the patch or don't need it
