Best way to find Effigium?
Steam isn't letting me search these threads, so I'm making a new one. I can't seem to find Effigium ore, even with the mark III detector, on any world. I heard it's invisible and can only be found by accident or with the mark III detector. All Atropus worlds promise effigium in the resources summary, but I just can't find any. Does anyone know if it spawns more often in certain biomes, or at a certain depth, or SOMEthing?

to find it, try looking for it :) It spawns in only a few places and you aren't looking in the right places, clearly. Best bet is to check dark, shadowy worlds. It rarely appears on atropus and generally only in sub-biomes. Don't look there.

Shadow worlds, gotcha. Once while going through a penumbra biome I discovered about 12 effiigium in my backpack, and I haven't been able to find more. Thanks :)

it sems the issue is the detector itself. it hasa typo and is not finding effigium. fixed for next update

Thanks :)
Try sticking some Aether into an upgraded centrifuge. It poops out Effigium and Liquid Protocite.

Honestly I advice and encourage using a lab directory.

Finally someone notices that.

I did just that yesterday. :) I had been looking for aether for some time, and only yesterday discovered that it's literally Strange Sea.

Did they remove this? I've been trying to get it from my gas centrifuge, but I'm only getting Ancient Essence, Alien Compound, and Liquid Protocite. Is it just extremely rare?
