Acid....how can you not know how to get acid protection? How are you on an aether before even checking out a Sulphuric world?
There is an Acid protection augment in your nanofab. That's the easiest method. Alternatively, Reptile, Chitin, Bone-Steel are all acid proof armors. Reptile is probably the onyl viable option there for surviving on an Aether though, as the rest are t3/4 or lower.
Additionally, there are plants that resist acid and shadow taint. Whitespine grows all over sulphuric worlds and is easy as heck to farm, for example :)
acid rain is not the same as acid. One is concentrated acid, the other is rain with acidic qualitiy. One uses projectiles, which do not innately have the ability to be resisted since they act like bullets. I've no intent to change it, as the "acid" rain is technically poison in-game and is a vanilla asset. The rain on "sulphuric" worlds remains able to harm you intentionally. If you want protection, you seek shelter or underground. :)
