Regarding loans - it should be that high, it's how I balanced them to make game more hard and to be sure that players won't get any loan too soon. It's just part of mechanic of my mod.
You need to level up first, to drive some time before you get loan. It's hard to pay loans but it's doable, just not so soon as expected. Wait before you earn so much money with your deliveries that you are able to afford daily installments.
You can find here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325617301 a little guide how to start playing with my mod and not lose all money.
If loans would be easier to pay it would be too easy to buy truck or parts or any other stuff in game. Whole idea of this mod is to make things harder to get, to make first truck a dream and to make satisfaction of buying first truck really high. ;)
It won't be changed so if you don't like this mechanics you propably should look for another economy mod, sorry OR test lighter version of YAEM called Lite: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1460088755
Cheers!
