Uncommon and rare resources don't seem very valuable
In my current game I thought myself very lucky, as I've seem to have started with a lot of systems that have uncommon resources. I therefore thought, or assumed, that I'd be able to position myself favourably with local empires, selling them these resources to both improve relations and reduce my stock. However these resources seem to hold exactly the same value, and therefore trading them seems rather pointless. In the Galactic Market as well there seems no difference in price or value. In fact, it seems rather than trade it is better just to collate them on the off-chance that later you can use them for a tech you discover.

As I'm only at the year 2200, so I'd still guess early game, are prices for resources in the game static or do they change? For example, if a local empire suddenly discovers Kemocite torpedoes tech does the value of that uncommon resource go up?

Value fluctuates a bit, but yeah, the market in STNH works differently to vanilla... They're generally alot more common as you tend to use alot more of them for construction and maintenance costs so their value can be very erratic...

There is only really 1 true rare resource in this mod. The others are super common. Trellium is the main rare since you can only store so much and its needed for almost all armorings, some weapons and some of the shields.

Its a shame, as fighting for uncommon and rare resources, or hoarding a resource that isn't valuable to you but you know is valuable to others, could be a very interesting game mechanic. A lot of wars in real history are fought over resources, and i'm sure in the Star Trek setting it'd be the same.

I suspect this is more a Stellaris issue than the mod. In vanilla Stellaris I can recall no time, ever, when an AI empire - allied, neutral or wary - offered me a trade deal. It has only ever been me who suggested one. This suggests to me the AI always has plenty of resource, or it hasnt got the intelligence to offer deals that benefit it.
