That being said, getting the federation is hard work, and surviving the initial transition is too. You should explore early and fast, build relations and work on them to make sure you get a coalition.
Eligable species - ie, species you can invite - must be in a colaition with your federation and have high approval of you.
ive reinstalled the whole game and mod, its really weird as the 1st time i played this mod it all worked fine and made it past both probes. this time i recruit the admiral, get both green ticks in my event log but nothing more happens. the admiral and her ship just stay in orbit and i get no more pops up. :(
For example:
During one game I was in coalition with vulcans and could instantly invite denobulan to the coalition. During another game in a similar coalition vulcans opposed to invite denobulans. During a third game they opposed first and after ~20 years finally accepted to inivite denobulans. I guess that is all done by some trigger which represents the vulcan <-> denobulan relationship? Is there any way to find out what or how high the trigger is?
(So basically is there a way for the player to find out why exactly a coalition member is opposing another AI race coalition invitation?)
I totally understand why that mechanic exists and I like it, but it is really annoying to never know what you have to do to get possible coalition members to like each other.
(I don't know if that missing information is a core stellaris problem, because I rarely have an own coalition in vanilla. Just ignore it if its a vanilla problem :) )
I don't know if this would be easy to do technically or not, but another approach might be to just let people use the federation member homeworld spaceports to order up colony ships, the same way we can use sector spaceports.
coalation ?
So I just formed the UFP for the first time, and I note that I don't have control of some member planets (vulcan for example) and I don't have their ship - is this correct ? Mnay thanks in advance
