(Source: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Crateris)
~starting in 2379 with the defeat of shinzon and the aftermath (event does not include shinzon, just the effects on the Empire), mainly where the Remans relocate to Crateris, with the Triggers being;
-Remus is owned
-at least one Reman POP lives on remus
-Crateris is in RSE space
-Year is 2379-2387
Where all remans on remus are moved to Crateris, and any overflow POPs are sent to a nearby world instead, to reflect that the remans migrated there after remus was found to be unstable after centuries of mining.
(Source: Star Trek (2009))
~In 2387, The Hobus system goes super nova and send a wave of devastation across the quadrant.
-If player, given an option to ask Vulcans for help, and spock saves Romulus in time (but still lost to black hole w/Nero), but the Empire loses tons of influence and resources (to help spock help you)
or
refuses to ask for help and Romulus destroyed, making the system uninhabitable and destroying all structures. All POPs in system are also killed. Empire losses ALL influence.
-If AI, refusal to ask choice auto-selected
Requirements:
-Year is at least 2387
-At least 1 Romulan POP on Romulus or Remus
-Hobus is in Romulan territory
-Either Federation or Vulcan High Command Exists
This would require a 'Hobus' system to be in game (I haven't seen it), and would reflect what we know in canon.
(Source: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/New_Romulus)
~In 2409, The dissident group the Romulan Republic has grown tired of Tal Shiar/Military rule and have cast off the old ways of deciet and treachery. They have found a new world to call home, and send a call to all Romulans and Remans to join them in resisting the oppressive Romulan Star Empire! With their new world, colonies have broken away to join them in their new nation.
Requirements:
-RSE is Xenophobic or Militaristic
-Year is at least 2405
-Crateris has at least 1 Romulan or Reman POP
-Virinat has at least 1 Romulan or Reman POP
Effects: Dewa III is made into a Class M type I world with 25 tiles, and Name changes to: New Romulus if Romulus does not exist, or Vastam otherwise. Crateris and Virinat both join the Romulan Republic, even if not in Romulan Star Empire. Dewa III/New Romulus/Vastam joins the Romulan Republic, and is made the capital. Romulan Republic inherits 1/4~1/2 of Romulan Star Empire fleet strength as new vessels. 3 Romulan POPs and 2 Reman POPS appear on Dewa III/New Romulus/Vastam. Romulan Republic formed with Pacifist, Individualist, and Xenophile Ethics.
(Maybe???;One for every ten (rounded up) Romulan and Reman POPs in the Romulan Star Empire now follow Romulan Republic Ethics(might be unbalanced))
This would need Crateris to have a coded-Habitable planet (I think it does already??), and would need for Virinat to be in the mod (A colony world: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Virinat).
The Reman migration was just a realistic flavor event, I thought. No real purpose, but an appreciated detail.
The Hobus Supernova is completly unbalanced, I realize, but it did happen, and there would be an option for Romulan players to opt-out, so I thought I was fair.
The Romulan Republic is supposed to represent a non-canon (but still interesting) civil war between the traditional Romulans who want power and New Romulans who want peace and cooperation.
Just an idea I had the other day. Don't know how hard this would be to code.
Prompt: "the rebels have managed to form a government, sir! What shall we do?"
"Crush them!" -remain in control of the Romulan Star Empire
"We should help them. Hail them" -lose control of the RSE, gain control of the Romulan Republic.
This one is up to interpretation honestly as events in the "war" happen literally everywhere in Trek, some of Q's antics could even be concidered so.
i have read through the changelog and there are some pretty exciting mechanics!
i guess i want to know if i should turn off the auto update so i can still play this mod
As of now there are no good ways to do wormholes, but we are investigating.
There is currently no caretaker but it's something I personally want to do in the future.
Basically you would find a ship floating in space (Like the episode)
You would have several options (Board, blow it the ♥♥♥♥ up, or leave it)
Then if you board it you'd find the cryo tubes of Khan and his crew.
(If you blew it up you'd get a gift basket containing an amount of minerals)
Then you'd get a choice of what to do (Let them out, Let them sleep and salvage the ship)
Upon letting them out there would be some sort of uprising on the ship, but Khan and his crew would ultimately be overcome.
You'd get a choice, exile them on a planet somewhere, or recruit them, gaining a single scientist/admiral/general and a research buff to millitary tech etc.
