This new Neutral Zone-Thing of the Federation dont really works well, i think you should disable it.
In recent game (playing as Romulan and got already asked 2 times for Neutral Zone even we rivals) the Federation has menaged to beat itself down to 7 Planets and 120 Pops in year 2230 by etablishing Neutral Zones with every neighbout.
This has even gone so far that Vulcan is now part of the Neutral Zone with Orion States.
Said Orion States have beat themself with those Neutral Zone even worser from 10 to 4 Planets down in a Second, losing 2/3 of their Pops and now a total helpless snack to everyone.

Definietly not working, mayby you can script it that way that no movment of military fleets allowed but planets stays in the Empire or that Neutral Zone is only possible as long there are neutral Systems here.

Even better were if its a treaty that gives + to Standing for the time it works.

Now as said Federation, Orion States have just suizided.

I like the nutral zone system from a lore stand point its perfect. The only downside I can see is like you mention Vulcan being given up in a neutral zone treaty. Capital systems sould never be a part of a neutral zone.

AI Cannot, it has even really hard time to build a normal midsize Empire.
Beside Lore or not, Stellaris Engine was not build for Star Trek and so it simply cannot handle well some things, this Neutral Zone is one of it...the AI Federation tries to do it with every neighbour they have and so it ends confined itself with few Systems.
And it helps zero...just yesterday, few years after the Neutral Zone Treaty with Orion States (i mentioned) Delta Union (Fed is Ally of them) attacked me (Orion States have defensive Pact with me) and so now we are at full scale war despite all the neutral Zones.

Except i need to conquer exact 7 Systems to kick the Federation out of War as that all what they still have with at last 1 Shipyard. Hell the Thkenzethi Coalition is now compared to them a Power House with 17 Planets^^

I think a treaty would work better, mayby a script that not allowes military ships of the 2 signing nations in the Neutral Zone but leaves it in the Empire it belongs

and next Bug with this Neutral Zone now. After the War is now going on the Systems returned to the owning empire. However, only the Systems and the Starbases.
The inhabitet Orion and Federation Planets (also Vulcan) remain with no owner, have no capital and the population is in the state of forced emmigration, not belonging to anyone.
The Planets and Pops on them also not shown in the Empire oversight of Planets and Population

So its now year 2256 and the *mighty* Federation went down from 17 Planets on peak (bevore it started it neutral zones) to now 3 Planets, Earth,Mars,Ad LEonos V with overall 55 Pops.

They have fought 2 Wars so far, Won one, Status Quo the other and basically killed themself with their Neutral Zones. RIP Federation.
Clearly nice Idea but totally not working with this *give away* Systems option

Either impliment a way of starting in different eras or make a yearly event that lets you choose if you want to advance to the next era or stay in this one, please

Any idea about integrating megacorp into STO? I think it could could really improves gaming experience for some species (orions, ferengies, karamman...)

Also, screw the federation, I want to form my androrian mining consortium!

Possible DarkenCZ, but if we do it'll just be a bonus, we'll still make the mod so no DLC is required to play. :)

Also ich Spiele ST: NH ständig, mit so vielen Völkern wie möglich, mir würde es gefallen:

- Dominion: Vorta und Jem'Hadar auch Aufwerten 2 Punkte für die beiden und 4 wie immer für anderen. Eine baubare Klonanlange für Vorta und Jem'Hadar, jedes Jahr einer mehr ab Bau pro Planet bis er voll ist.

- Orion Piraten: Es wäre schönen wenn sie auch neue Ära-Schiffe bekommen könnten.

- Borg: Könnte man in der nähe des Borg-Starts mehr Systeme zum assimilieren einfügen? Die Borg verschieben? Man kommt zu schnell mit den großen in Berührung.

- Krenim Imperium. Eigene Schiffe bzw. einige andere Rassen auch.

- Könnte man die kosten der Schiffe senken, das Globale Flottenlimit höhen? So das mehr Schiff im Spiel sind?

- Bei Forschungsschiff würde ich mir mehr Konstruktion wünsche, nicht nur die 2 ausser UFP/TE (4).

- Die Breen lassen sich nicht schön spielen, es ist eine Könföderation von mehreren Rassen. Und Schiff sehen sich sehr ähnlich und haben keine starke Biohülle und schwachen Schilde.

- Man sollte die Ferengi überarbeiten: +1 Immigranten Ferengi für jeden mit offenen Grenzen oder Immigration Gestattet. Weniger Expansion und mehr Latiumgier: + 5 Latium in der nähe und Latium = Zufriedenheit + 1 oder 2 Prozent mehr EC. Der Ferengi auf Planeten sollte +2 EC bei allen Arbeiten verdienen. Mehr Handelsgebäude (Handelsbehörde, Franchise-Büro, Handelsturm, Fantasieland). Auf Station mit einen Ferengi im Volk, Technologie für "Ferengi Spielkasino" (Dabo, Tongo, Dom-Jot, Holosuite). Festival der Freude als Erlass.

- Terranisches Imperium: Könnte man andere Schiffseigenschaften wie bei der UFP machen, plus übertieben große Schiffe z.b. Charon-Klasse (Flaggschiff/Träger) und die auch schon früh im Spiel. Edit: Könne ein Event eingebaut werden in den Der Herrscher geschürzt werden kann und einen General, Admiral einsetzen kann?

Rassen die noch kein eigenes Schiffsset haben, werden auch keins mehr bekommen, da die Mod-Entwickler bereits an die Grenze der Engine gekommen sind. Hatte sogar gelesen, dass schon mindestens ein weiteres Schiffset fertig ist, aber nicht mehr implementiert werden kann.

Auch die Begrenzung der Schiffszahl ist letztendlich auf die Limitierung der Engine zurückzuführen, da es bereits jetzt im Lategame zu massiven lags kommt, die auch durch bessere Hardware nicht vermindert werden können. Möglicherweise wird das 2.2 Vanilla-Update wieder Kapazitäten schaffen.

I'm actually quite surprised that ST: New Horizons doesn't do what that mod does, as pretty much every Starfleet ship has at least some form of weapon defense system.

Exactly! They said that it couldn't be done though. Maybe its too much work for their modding team or something? Maybe there's too much data in the mod so it won't run if they alter the ships?

I have no clue, but I'd really like to hear a response from one of the devs on this subject.
