Canon Wars?
So im in 2183 with Canon Wars enabled and so far i was not in any war. UFP is already created and i know i can make Neutral Zones with it but it its not necessary if there was no war. Are there any conditions on how to start Romulan War (after which Fed/Rom Neutral zone was created) Also i want to ask what game set up im supposed to use to have as i already have Discovery and Burnham as admiral (could not make Discovery as science vessel for her to be scientist, dont know why) I also still have NX Enterprise with Archer even when i have TOS Ships of the line and i already have Constitution class. I know im early for Pike and Kirk to be in game thats why im asking how should i play it................Besides all that im having a blast playing this mod. Really awesome Star Trek game

The Canon Wars option is a WIP, I believe I read in it's description, and it does state that it requires certain conditions be met in order for the battles to trigger...

So far I've noticed no differences either, but my latest game has not gone anywhere near close to the canon timeline -- the Klingons asked me to join a Coalition with them in about 2180! -- so that is probably the same issue you are encountering...

As for the Consitution Flagship, the Flagship version does not become available until the first Constitution Refit tech is researched -- a little confusing, I know -- and needs to be constructed through the Utopia Planitia megastructure...

Yeah i know about the construction. Yes i think there are some conditions to be met to trigger canon wars as i was not aware of Romulans in the time Romulan war was meant to be as i expanded my borders in different direction. Right now im experiencing some kind of boredom. Its 2190 i have most of the galaxy explored (Borg and Dominion included) and im just doing research and any of the two years federation options (new member/neutral zone etc) and my game is getting to be really slow now. Too bad, wanted to play right up to Pickard series timeline but i dont know as it gets really slow

about coalitions - Ferengi asks me to be in their coalition once per year, up to the point where i considered them to be new member of Federation :D Cardassians/Romulans/Klingons made a lot of claims on my systems but they wont spark a war because they are all "pathetic" compared to me. Even tried to make neutral zone with Romulans. That did not bring any fruit so righ now its really just waiting for Borg or Dominion to man up and make a war

Try upping difficulty, and turn off scaling difficulty (if you had that set) as it only seems to scale the AI's initial build up, and not help them keep pace with you once you surpass them, and it might help with the issue you're describing about lack of difficulty...

Yeah i was thinking about that. It might help, definetly will do new playthrough. Now just to figure out late-game lag as game gets really slow after 2200 and right now there is nothing for me to do besides research and survey of the very few remaining systems. Another thing is that i play on smaller galaxy (900 i believe, all quadrants) Will try to play max diff with full STNH full map

Unfortunately the lag is just a thing... Vanilla Stellaris is far from well optimised in of itself, and STNH seems to add alot of stuff that goes on in the background that the lag is more noticeable, depending on your specs...

I've literally just upgraded my PC in the last few days (i5 12600KF, 32gb DDR4 3200MHz, 3060ti) and I'm mid-way into the 2200's on my current game, explored the entire map, made contact with (I think) every faction and am yet to see any significant slow down... So, without meaning to sound like a pompous arse, it could be your hardware...

I have noticed running Stellaris off an SSD, if you have one, and have the room, can alleviate some of the lag, however...

If you do give a game a go on the larger map, and are already seeing slowdowns on the 900 system map, be prepared for the same on the Official map too...

Either way, definitely ramp up the difficulty a bit, and turn off AI scaling if you're finding it too easy...

Yeah i know. Played Stellaris since 1.2 and the engine is just obsolete but atleast still working, it really depends on processor as clausewitz engine can use just one core, i have Ryzen 5 3600 6gb. It works great but this is just a problem with engine and yes my pc is running on SSDs only as it really speeds things up a lot (for example TTW Warhammer is almost unplayable without SSD). Yeah thats the truth about NH, there is a lot more going on then with vanilla Stellaris, even with mods like Gigastructures i can get up to 200 years in the game with just little to medium late-game lag. NH is really "difficult" in that area, with the count of empires running in the background. Was thinking about running Mirror Universe just to cleanse the map of some unnecessary pops as pops is one of the main thing that cause the slowdown

A drop in the ocean, really, especially on larger maps...

I meant it probably won't make a huge difference as the number of pops you could cleanse will be only a small number of the overall population, especially on larger maps...
