I had no trouble building a science version of the Constitution Flagship just yesterday...

Had to disband the NX Flagship first, of course, and then the option became available...

Tried to disband the NX, nothing triggers.

And then The NCC-1701-B builds and doesn't appear.

make sure before you disband the flagship, you retire the class. if the class is already retired, then goto the shipyard museum, reactivate it and then retire it again. Then disband the NX flagship and you should have the option to build the new class. Also make sure before you disband the flagship to remove the commander. IN some of my games when I didnt remove the commander, I lost a level 5 commander which sorta sucked.

Yeah, couple really good points there, which completely I forgot about, namely retiring before disbanding and especially removing the commander before disbanding...

Honestly, flagships are a little finnicky, and I find it's always best to save before "upgrading" your flagship's class, as it's not unheard of for me to have to reload and try the process again...

Thanks guys. I'll try the above. Worked fine last time I played, upto the Enterprise-F, but I think they fixed that.

Does the AI use flagships (miltary and science) BTW?

Not sure.

Well. That didn't work. Constitution Enterprise says it's built. Doesn't actually appear.
