Megastructures?
I am sure it`s been asked before and I apologize but will the other mega strucures ever be added?{habitats,dyson,ect.} Thx

A habitat in some form woud be good, but buildable dyson sphere did not realy fit in ST. None of the current living races had the technology, to build one (except the Caeliar http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Caeliar, who are the 'parents' of the borg), but they are a different story, they like a fallen empire in Stellaris.

I also would appreciate a dyson sphere and some of the megastructures, that I have through the new dlc.

Almost certain that we won't allow buildable Dyson Spheres; but a maybe on event based ones (i.e. from the Relics episode).

We have the following megastructures in the game already:
Deep Space Stations
Suliban Helixes
Hirogen Hunters Lodges
Starfleet Naval Museum


And we plan to add more, like Particle Fountains for mineral generation.

Why 'Sphere's' are cannon.

Megastructures need to be added back it detracts from teh game immensely.

Build-able Dyson Spheres are *not* canon structures for any of the races we feature in the mod, in the time frame the mod covers. If you have canon megastructures you'd like to see, we'll happily evaluate (chances are we're already working on them).

Megastructures as envisioned by the vanilla game are out of place for Star Trek, but as I've said we'll be adding our own variants in over time. You can expect us to end up with more choices than vanilla in the long run.

I'm presuming ruined ones are there for flavour then? Since the latest patch, I've seen two ruined Dyson Spheres appear in the Lyridian (I think) region of space...

Yes, Ruin, purely for flavor.

Acid - currently, yes, just 1 pop. They will get an upgrade in our next major patch.

Thx for the replies. I figured you could work habitats into the game. Just rename them. They are just synthetic planets. Then we could play tall. I bought the game just for this mod BTW. Great work!!

What does the starfleet mesuem do, apart from show old ships which is cool, maybe it should generate unity? or Influence.

Also Deep Space stations (Orbital Habitats) defo have a function in the ST universe. They were more then simply just defence platforms, they were living stations with commerce, residents and visitors.

Also you could have some kind of Remote Penal colony type megastructures for Klingons or Cardassians, Basically where they can send those in caste or slave like species to live and work in order to produce Energy/Minerals Or simply to exterminate them through labour.
