So the DLC is interesting but there are some 'issues' even unmodded.

The alien lords in normal XCom are pretty dangerous at the best of times, and in a mission which isn't going well could easily cause a squad wipe. Though that can be mitigated to various degrees.

Having said that...

In Partisan War, until we can force changes into the code the alien lords are appearing much earlier and the code changes aren't sticking in some cases.

So they are even more deadly.

Therefore either keep that in mind when doing Alien Hunters missions;

The Nest didn't seem overly painful, the Blacksite was brutal.


We'll get more fixes rolled out to mitigate the issue.

The reviews for this DLC are mixed for good reasons.
