Leavers/AFKs and Rank System

There is a problem with leavers ruining matches. People are even claiming that some players are dualboxing games just to grind the afk rank lol....

I have no problem doing a 3v1 if I can manage the other lanes on my team with each lanes own resources.

Is this possible?
