it is necessary to weaken it , because it is first of all the counter , tested a variety of games with different combinations . This game is allot about luck and knowing you enemies armortype. As long as you click your opponents units and figure out there strength and weakness you have done what you can rest is decided by luck on the sets you have / get later.

actually you cant counter slarks with broodmother, because slarks have not only 1 upgrade with piercing damage, the second one with siege attack owns broodmother. Actually svens and pucks and any unit with magic dps can deal with slark. This game is not only about units you can also purchase items which can help you in beginning even if u have some bad units
