Any cheese strat or advice to winning lane?

I win many games because I Firmly Defense and spam upgrade king, but i could never win my lane. My units always seem to die first, or gradually die out, and my lane enemy just snowballs on his gold. Is there any advice or cheese strats to help me win my lane?
