Welded grids not showing up as a single grid via control panel.
I have a static solar array grid on the moon and I separated a part of the tower piece to make it longer and reattached it back to which the mod worked perfectly but once I go back into the control panel the once separated piece doesn't seem to exist. Can someone explain why?

Sounds like whatever you welded to is already separate from the rest of the base.
Backup the world and enable creative tools (alt+F11, or creative mode), then you can ctrl+X aiming at the thing you attached and see what gets deleted with it, that will also show where it's disconnected from.

If the whole base gets cut too, then I'm not sure what's going on, post the world =)
