After a little testing, the new weapon damage settings seem to be working as expected, but none of the crafting costs have changed. I've tried mindwiping, killing myself and picking up the crafting table to no effect. My best guess is there's some mistake in my code, but I haven't been able to find it.
I can change/edit everything for my weapons and if i want to pickup the structures but it won't recognize any setting in the Custom GameUserSettings Details if i try to reduce material costs.
Well i managed to get it into my Custom GameUserSettings Details but it won't change anything and i am not a programmer or whatever so i have no clue what to do now except from continue experimenting.
NVM i think i found a way... still tedious to do.
You can either check by opening the mod file folder identifying it by the mod id or on the dev's website, he lists most if not all the structure items.
Sorry I can't help further, I am not playing ark anymore at this time, it's too big and my internet too slow to download to do a quick check.
I learned how to do this on my own, I tried initially on a single item, when that worked I applied the same idea to many other mods, plenty of examples are out there.
IF using ASM the easiest thing to do when adding lots of code is close ASM, edit the GUS or GAME ini directly and then open ASM again, it should read in the data and display it in ASM.
Otherwise, there is a crafting override section in there but adding 10+ entries that way is very slow, if you have the code it's faster editing the ini directly.
Also, crafting cost overrides go in the game.ini, not the gus ini.
Well thanks for the reply. Im actually using G-portal for my server so I knew to place it in the Game.ini. It does seem that this isnt valid anymore given the fact that it doesnt seem to be working. I know youve stepped away, but is there any way to look up the names of the items? On the mods website, he only lists structures and weapons, not the actual resources.
This is how I did it for this and every other mod I have altered (which has been a lot over the years).
Go to your Ark install folder, to find this right click ark in your steam library, go to properties, manage, click the local files tab, click browse local files.
Open the shootergame -> content - > mods -> "mod id" folder whereby the mod id will be 497432858 for this mod as can be found by looking at the url of the mod link in the steam workshop.
Now you are in the mod folder, in here you can see all the related files and this is how I identified and found them all in the first place.
Now you just go through these to identify the items you need to change, most will start with "PrimalItem...", remember to always add a "_C" at the end of the item name.
Just keep repeating this for everything you want to change.
Every mod (to an extent and there are exceptions) can be altered in the same way.

Try it with something you know does work, for example, the first entry, the behemoth gate, if you use that code does it alter the required ingredients accordingly?
If it does then know the game isn't broken (WC do sometimes break things then they fix them) and that likely the items or resources you are trying to alter cannot be.
If it doesn't work then you have to investigate further, try altering something as simple as the vanilla torch recipe from its default three resources to just one thatch.
Process of elimination and testing will help narrow it down.
