The above scenario would be handy as follows. At base, player attaches cargo(vehicle) to helo while helo is on ground. Player and AI team proceed to AO. At the AO, player tells helo to fly to his location via C2, where the helo hovers above the ground and releases its cargo.
And, yes, I did read the FAQ before posting. But, I thought this might be a solution.
note: I moved this from Comments thread
Also, I would really really like the option to change some of the keybinds (but most importantly the "select all units". I use that *a lot* and reaching towards "4" seems non-ergonomic. I'd be happy to rebind it to mouse button 4, however it does not seem to be an option yet.
Pardon me if some of these are already implemented, however upon readin the BIS forum thread I couldn't find anything.
Thanks for your great mod!
the additional map UI should only be visible if the C2-overlay is opened, unless you ar playing with a difficulty below veteran. There's an additional forcetracker (should also only be visible if the overlay is active) for friendly units and known enemy/indep units, you can switch that off via the overlay (check the tooltip :)
Keybinds can be changed via controls >> addon controls >> C2.
Mouse Data is not handled by CBA unfortunately so mouse button 4 can not be picked up unless you make your mouse send out a keystroke, that should work.
I usually play on custom difficulty (basically veteran with some of the options turned on, like stamina). If by "overlay" you mean "tablet" where I'm putting waypoints etc, no, the markers for my team members are shown on regular map, not tablet. I tried putting the difficulty on "veteran", but that didn't change it. I also tried clicking "force tracking" in tablet, however that seemingly didn't do a thing.
I enclose the screenshot with the markers:

P.S. I have "friendlies on map" turned off in difficulty settings.
UPDATE: hmm, the restart on 'veteran' seems to have fixed it. But... does it mean I can't play without markers on "custom" difficulty ? :)
You can toggle the overlay with 'C', your setting to show the overlay gets stored in your profile so that the next time the map opens, the overlay will stay closed and you will not see the unit icons/markers.
Should those green indep group markers not be placed in mission, they are a part of the force tracker. I can not see the button for that in the screenshot, I think you need to set your UI size to small in game. This is a limitation of my addon unfortunately, at least at the moment.
The assumption that nobody uses the numkeys is incorrect. I have default NUM functions for C2 quick selection, but those have created massive feedback of users being confused why the NUM keys prevented their binds and brought up the selectors instead.
I am afraid that with keybinds, re-binding them to suit your individual needs is the only way I can guarantee the most fun and the best layout suited for you. It takes effort, but is well worth it. . The good news is that I do try and clean up binds that clash with STEAM or the vanilla game. The bad news is that no matter what I do or do not do, very hard for me to have everybody be happy about the changes. Getting the addon to work well quickly with vanilla arma is the priority.
In the BETA version (availbale on Discord, linked in addon description) you can make units rearm specific items from specific crates. Arsenal is not yet an option but maybe sometime in the future it will be, provided that a crate has the arsenal option available (i think it will return a variable as true for that)
nope, but you can toggle the overlay with C which is essentially the same thing. It will never pop up in any mission, the variable is stored in your profile.
