Aerodynamic Wings - blocks for planet atmosphere
Jappards200 Dec 15, 2015 @ 9:48am
Wing formula
Is there any formula for the lift/resistance force of the wings? I want to be able to calculate the minimum velocity required to keep my aircraft in the air amongst other things. It would also help for other planets, like mars, the titan moon or the alien planet as they all have atmospheres.

I want to know the relation between these variables(per wing, obviously):
lift/Resistance force
Velocity
The constants used by the wing blocks(you only gave relative numbers, I would like to know the absolutes).
Height.

Easy, go into debug mode (highlights lift generating wings green and displays lift force in Newton) and look at the numbers, with those given you can calculate the other variables you need.

Not so easy if you're working on an aircraft in survival, as that screen only shows in creative...
