Hero Balance Discussion
Let's make this the official sticky thread where we seriously discuss hero balance. This will be the first thread with a rule: Any posts including personal attacks will be DELETED! I have never deleted anyone's posts, but for this thread we'll have this rule to help enforce proper discussion.

Nerfs and Buff suggestions are equally valued.

Having a platform where you could agree or disagree with posts (upvote/downvote) would be ideal, but since we don't have that, a simple message saying "agree with X" is welcome.

The DK dragon aspect + mountain strike build is overpowered because of a bug or unintended interaction between those two skills. Here's how they actually work in game:

Suppose your base damage is 10,000. Level 250 dragon aspect will bring this to 10k + 100k. When mountain strike procs, it calculates your damage as the TOTAL, 110k, and then multiplies this by the modifier (at level 20, 3x), and then sets your BASE damage to this number, 330k. Dragon aspect then recalculates its bonus based on this number, so your final damage with just 10k base, 250 in dragon aspect and 20 in mountain strike, is 3.66 million. This can easily be verified by watching your damage as mountain strike procs, as well as how much the life bar of a boss chunks down when mountain strike procs compared to normal attacks.

Of course, if this is fixed, that DK build probably won't be able to solo Legend anymore (which he can do very easily right now, other than Nest).

There is also an unintended interaction between a specific set of items and Astral Ranger Q4 that allows you to permanently get over 200 million base damage as long as you don't die or recast Q. And now that you can switch equipped items, you can use purity gloves with this, and relatively easily kill anything in game.

If everyone can agree to nerf Flamewaker Mountain Strike, I will reduce paragon and boss HP in legend.

Dont nerf Flamewaker, It will make many players leave this game. Make other heroes stronger. Then you make mobs and bosses stronger too. I think you should buff for bahamut. I've never seen any player play baha in this patch.

Well, TBQH Liar, our player count is quite low, now could be a good time for a rebalance + stat compression -> coupled with the release of a new world, we can surge back to the top of the games list.

Not saying thats ez. Still need to do smth. Cuz rly like this map. And want to bring it back to top. Ive created russian community and supporting new players that come.. still need some real hard work to balance things out. And make stable builds viable.. and fck valve's compend* updt.

Legend seems ok with the exception of bosses being more easy then paragons and grate wall ( ussles afix against most builds that play in legend but crazy efficent against the les popular ones is like making sure only around 20% of builds can play ).
I know what makes DK to op in combination with R1E3 , but i don't wana see him deleted like paladin , Divine gloves are crazy with those 2 runes. ( i don't play any of these heroes).
If u wana test heroes builds just use max 25-30k total stats ,and around 600-700 runes max these are the stats for rare good builds and not the very imposible rare ones with doble of that or more . ~20k total stats is what most of the players have. (no zeus )
Hero Balance : its a very long and delicate task , how about u blance them with items(like u strated last week ) that will bring non viabile builds close to those very few builds that farm legend now (not as good but close) this items must not be simple % more dmg (maybe % of target curet or max hp will be easyer and not that good on builds that kills paragons in one or few hits any way, that new trinket was a good idea the numbers seems to low . )
Probably last post if is ignored/not good like most of my sugestions .

couple of points. you need to compensate for nerfing dk.

But moving on to YOUR game, there are two fundamental flaws in this game. Get ready, because this is some quality knowledge bomb ♥♥♥♥. Take notes:

A.

Fundamental game design. If one thing is strictly superior to another, the inferior item should not exist. People should be able to make a choice, and it has to be a difficult choice. That is good game design.

Sven vs Wraith king? Two very similar but different playstyles - good game design
Power rangers vs divine - that is good game design.
Any armor that isn't secret of temple vs temple - that is bad game design in the environment you previously built where you get 1 shotted.

You have ridiculous amounts of items in the game. All useless. Change numbers. Make stats larger or nerf existing "dominant" ♥♥♥♥. Make the choice difficult. make it interesting. Should not be a no brainer.

I.e. what does veno orb do? who uses vestment of dark arts when there's a legion?

B.

Your player drop off is two-fold.

1. the jump from elite to legend is like looking at victoria's secret catalogues as a young teenage boy to going down to mexico and picking up a tijuana hooker high off cocaine. like wtf? i get the diablo comparison. But dude, how the ♥♥♥♥ is anyone at level 80 supposed to complete act 1 of legend if most of us cannot complete act 1 of legend after getting l33t equipment after ungodly hours.

Well, most people either replay by building a DK by leeching, or say ♥♥♥♥ it, let's play dota IMBA or tower defense or watch porn. Whatever they are donig, they are not playing your game.

2. Stop being a woman. have a design and stick to it. You cannot, i repeat you cannot just change your mind and fickle out every two weeks. Don't be capricious. If you wanna nerf, nerf. If you wanna buff everyone else, then buff everyone else. But for ♥♥♥♥♥ sakes, stop changing ♥♥♥♥ around. for you, it's copy pasta code and wham bam, you generate bits upload that ♥♥♥♥♥ and get fat loot. for us, that's now 120 levels and however much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ equipment that we just lost. add to that unintentional crashes, glitches, freezes, lost items and bam. it's easy to say ♥♥♥♥ it, and take our frustration out by downloading League of Legends and feeding down mid lane non-stop.

This game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollar. I want to give you my dollar. I do not want to waste 50 hours because some nerd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you and you changed ♥♥♥♥. and i certainly don't want to lose 4 ITEMS NOW because of a glitch.

In terms of glyphs, like they should make sense. SB's respawn timer (which was 2 seconds when i originally "bought it" makes sense as a t7 glyph. a 20 second respawn timer does not make sense. Period. why the ♥♥♥♥ do i give a ♥♥♥♥ whether i respawn at 40 or 20 (yes yes, expiring crystals blah balh) that should not be a reason i get a glyph)

(Seriously, the math on Axe's e1 doesn't even make sense. Like seriously, check that ♥♥♥♥ out).

from what i feel. DK is OP but if without the OP DK. i believe now most of the job is not able to play in Legend(for those newly switch from elite to legend) except a dk to fight with the paragons. I have 1 Astral Ranger(60kbase dmg after buff with Q3 then getting 3~4million base dmg) i try to build it with crit and Q3 but seriously i do ntg at legend i only able to hit the normal creeps but not those paragons.
so if the DK get nerf i think a group of new player never able to go to legend without lead by some expert player with perfect build.

me and my friend tryed few build but we found that without a DK's OP critical and a zues we cant even pass the act 1 dungeon even we try to bring some good magic dealer OD or CM or trapper sometime the paragon is magic immue so we nid a physical damage dealer but the DR, JUG, PA all cant deal any good damage then we nid the DK OP critical.
some ppl will say try to get the item that reduce armor but the paragon have 2000 armor and one of the hand that reduce 5 armor for 6 second then with max att speed we only able to deal 6 att in 1 sec= 30 armor in 1 sec then 6sec = 180 armor. it didnt help at all from the 2000armor

so I am not really agree with nerf the DK except what Chalky say nerf all the HP (i feel this is not really useful) at legend because now we cant deal the damage to paragons is because of the very high armor and it 1 hit KO damage.

but i really appreciate that chalky openning a post like this to allow all the player to give opinion about what should balancing the job. thanks chalky for listening from us.

seriously i feel most hero is doing good but only problem making us hard to get to legend is still because the paragon OP armor and it 1 HIT KO damage.

maybe what i hope chalky do is nerf the Armor and dmg of paragons or buffing those not really popular immortal item to make them be a choice to the player.

So you finally pay attention to stuff like this,
Chulk u should state what your intent for each hero is, instead of us giving ideas to balance what is already unuseable, so we can rebuild runes of the hero

Paladin 3 Builds Q,W,E
Because of your Q2 change, it makes retribution useless
Change q2 to something which helps Q skill instead like more duration or more % to heal

Retribution Should be change to magic damage, and runes on E should help with retribution
Divine aegis should be on E to help with retribution

Basically 1 skill 1 build

There is only 1 Build currently which is R1 for attacker
honestly its op as fk,

Zeus
Right now Zeus combo with all other heros allows it to kill alot of mobs, It's R3 and R2 is op
U should make W more useful like removing Shadow flare and really giving it a full support role
Can change shadow flare to like reduce armor or something

Jugganut
Your Odachi Should really be something like the ult in the real game with a % proc instead of giving % of physical dmg
right now there is honestly no point in using this skill due to it only killing 1 creep, people might as well only use omega ruby

By doing this people can choose if they want to go on Q build, a E jumper build
or a hybrid auto attacker build

Also the Q1 and Q2 are not that great in helping Q3 or the Q skill in total

W, it is a good support skill, im not sure how to improve it

u should remove W's auto attacker build and honestly give what it suppose to be, A MOB hero
instead of auto attacking

right now the mob's have little to no use in legend expect for earth giving armor and health

So whats wrong with them? because of your buff to mobs eg paragon birth
mobs cant tank magic dmg and such, your basically making them die too fast
if your Q is intent to tank should give more hp and a taunt rune like,
EG earth sprit taunt every 2sec, increase armor for mobs per monster around in taunt

also for the bomber W it's a good idea
but no point having W1 when your mob is sent to die every few seconds
should make it something like trapper's where runes in W help to amp the dmg more

Shadow aspect is trash, right now u have more chance of getting higher stats item, yes
but the rune roll for your E3 is so little on weapons, how u aspect it to do damage when it's so low, not to mention it dying so fast

Should be giving weapons higher E3 rolls for it and also higher %

Right now I only have 1 idea: Make Red General's E3 rune somehow useful.

It looks good on paper, but how many times mob are actually going to hit you when you spin around like a madman? Maybe make it so that it gives you some form of "grace period" passive after you use Whirlwind around 1-2 second and nerf the % based reflection since I assume it reflects after reduction?

I also want to know what kind of damage type they reflect, maybe you should make it clearer on the description.

Also, for other runes/skills/items/glyph too. I don't mind having to read long description instead of having to guess since taking off and putting on equipment is kinda costly.

The wiki is kinda helpful but I'd assume that it takes a long time to update since the editor/writer also had to test things and whatnot.

Maybe after I play and test more in higher difficulty I will add more suggestion.

You are the reason this game went to ♥♥♥♥. All you do is brag about your items and give very specific feedback and minutae sht of HOW YOU want to make the game. You are the reason axes e1 is so garbage.

I don't want a fking taunt on my earth invoker. I want a choice. I'm pretty sure most people want multiple viable builds and can explore the map in more ways than a fking hybrid or whatever the fk category you want to label them as. And when people are giving feedback, constructive feedback at that on stream, there's no need to brag about your items WHEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO OR WTF TOU ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU LITTLE SHT. Yes, you were talking to me. Yes, I have a grudge. Yes, my ♥♥♥♥ (knowledge, item choices, creativity, understanding of the world, eloquence in articulation, and MMR is vastly superior to yours). Yes, you tried to drown me by asking me if I d a divine and frankly was not only condescending but demonstrated that you are unable to differentiate what is good for the community (i.e. the game) and what is good for yourself. Yes, I was saying in a not so pithy way that you are selfish.

You degenerate every fking thread you are apart of (well, technically I am,in this one, but I can't help but feel compelled by your wall of text that does not address anyone else's concern). You are trying to say how “right” you are with your snobby tone and attempt to sprinkle own fairy dust and very specific roles you want to pigeonhole playstyless into)

If someone wants to mix and match runes, fine. No hero is “supposed to be” anything. I don't want to be marginalised into a “jumper build” or whatever dafq you call your sht. You're also the reason chaulky worked in particles in his stream instead address HOLISTIC issues. I want true balance where weird ♥♥♥♥ builds and conventional style builds are viable. Pretty sure that's what 99% of he people here want as you can LITERALLY AEE THEM ECHONG MY SENTIMENT WITOUT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suggestions of jumper build, hybrid or whatever you call it.
