Be it by a curse, or undead smog, there is low light. (Mushrooms would be better playstyle here with mshroom mods etc.)
Shadow Rain
Ocasioanlly this Darkness bleeds liquid death, causing all Undead to go into manhunter/Frenzy It also gives all undead ressureciton on death. (So you have to kill them twice like those cultists)
Encroaching darkness Event.
Higherchance for undead types to migrate to the local area.
Duskwood Widows Animal
Spiders that inflict toxic build up (Massively), Hunt undead creatures to feed on its decay that makes its poison. Can also have web attacks, Alpha animals.
Undead Dragon Summon, Event.
(Profane or the other undead mod has undead dragon, perhaps an event where one is summoned and manhunter.)
Skeletal Horde. Animal? Event?
Summons tons of skeletons, but htey have litteraly 1 hp. If not all at once, have a tripple raid of dozens, then dozens, then dozens.
Lich.
Reoccuring enemy, places a Phylactry on the map (Its invisible, hidden) Lich can summon Seketons, shadow rains, undead dragons. Uses Psycast abilities.
Sight Stealer retexture. - Wraith
Just makes them look like undead shades. Can also have Wrath summon events, passive mobs around crypts etc.
(Overlord inspired summons as well like those goat things with giant mouths.)
I have tons of ideas but they arne't really technical. I dont mod. No idea how easy hard it is. But these are random thoughs I came up with after reading the mod inspired by Dragonage, adventure quest, Overlord, Wow, sort of things.
I want to add some monster from Overlord yep. I'm going to link my Undead Legendary Armory to this mod too.
or tie in the profane for roaming packs of ghouls and spectral undead.
as far as the mod itself, i mentioned on the main page some sort of bone golem/abomination type of thing that can spawn from bone piles. maybe a variant of the gauranlen tree that creates undead minions of your own without taming (kinda like a few different plant type creatures from D&D). or maybe a mechanitor variant that lets you create these boney boys for yourself. could have pretty basic stats but are able to equip armor and weapons like some of the mechs from DMS
Big fan of the Profane mod as well. Use their style for nearly every run since I found it.
Since you do recommend the Profane the first thing that came to my mind was the death knights and the corrupt guard. It would be great if there were considered undead and I could use them in the butcher undead ritual at the profane magic circle. I think it would be amazing if I could harvest colossal hearts for my profane magic from the Death Knights. The guards could give tainted bones. While I'm on the subject it was a little hard finding the guard in the butcher table so my minions would stop butchering them. Also the info tab is a bit misleading telling me I get meat from these creatures( desperate times) but I think I actually got steel and only like 2 steel. I believe it was under animals>skeleton in the butcher table. Having them classified as undead corpses just like the profane mod would prevent both these occurrences.
Kind of hard to live in the biome but I suppose that is to be expected. Tilled soil helped a lot. Otherwise I'd have probably starved to death.
This is probably thanks to combat extended but death knights trying to eat guards usually ended in a stalemate. They pass out from exhaustion and then continue their battle when they awoke. This wasn't such a problem until one of those knights was mine. I couldn't fast forward time until I dealt with the guard. They made me a lot of money though. Not sure wtf people were thinking visiting my colony. A few of them actually made it off the map, surprisingly.
Another thing I'd like to see is the Death Knights and company being immune to disease. My death knight shouldn't so much as come down with the plague but instead be the plague! mwhahah! Sorry, I'll see myself out.
