-Rarely fatal, just incredibly debilitating
-Caused by going into water with bleeding wounds without a diving suit.
-Infectees spread the disease incredibly slowly and infrequently.
-Early stages are easily curable
-Late stages causes nearsightedness, slowed movement speed, compromised immune system (Easier to get infected with other things), and bleeding susceptibility. As well as visible lesions on the face.
-Cannot pass without antibiotics
Necrotizing Fasciitis
-A very rare disease caused by prolonged infected wounds.
-Very easy to cure with ABX, but progresses quickly.
-Causes constant internal and organ damage at late stages, and at the final stage causes total organ death.
-Later stages causes the skin to go jet black.
Pietros' Throat
-:o)
-Causes a person's clothes to be dropped and replaced with a clown outfit
-They will be unable to speak in voice chat, and their text chat will be replaced with "honk" for every word
-Spreads through sneezing
-The infectee will have messages (like husk infection stages) where they will have the urge to say a funny joke
- Easily fatal and prone to amputation
- Entering the water and bleeding from the wound due to the absence of a wetsuit or being attacked by a creature with a carapace
-Attacking teammates with melee weapons can cause the disease to spread, or infection can be caused by not using gloves or other items to prevent infection while healing the infected
-It is not easy to detect infection with the disease in the early stage, there is only a small probability of vomiting, and in the middle stage, the infected area will be red and swollen with severe pain, and the disease will develop rapidly to the advanced stage and there is a 30% probability that the patient will be infected with sepsis
- Advanced stage can lead to severe sepsis (manifested by persistent blood deduction) and limb necrosis (attacked site), slowed movement, compromised immune system (more susceptible to infection with something else), and visible lesions on the arm.
- Early treatment modality: drug combination, mode of administration, mechanism of action, timing of use
Doxycycline Ceftriaxone Suspected infection starts immediately (no need to wait for culture results)
Ciprofloxacin (an alternative to doxycycline) is administered intravenously to inhibit DNA replication in people who are allergic to tetracycline
Intravenous use of clindamycin inhibits the production of bacterial toxins when signs of necrotizing fasciitis appear
2. Emergency treatment of wounds in the middle and late stages of the disease
Preparation before debridement:
➠ Rinse the wound with saline and medical alcohol
Indication for debridement surgery (immediate surgery in the presence of any of the following):
✅ Purple/black ecchymosis on the skin
✅ Subcutaneous crepitus (tissue gas)
✅ Pain that does not match signs (seemingly mild but sharp) → Debridement work: Use a scalpel directly
