The node Converging Fire in the Artillery Doctrine branch is currently one giant list containing all the recon company icons at the top, with each icon repeated five times. The same is also true for Superior Calculations, which has each affected company duplicated once

If it could be segmented by stat I believe that would look better. Alternatively, combine all recon types (and include Long Range Patrol Company and Rangers) and have one group which lists the different recon types when hovered over (like Artillery Support & Line) and have just one of each bonus, if possible

Edit: I've just noticed that Encourage Local Initiative in the Command & Control branch has the above suggestion implemented, although in that case it doesn't appear to add anything. I'll add that to Bug Reports

Consider changing Forward Operators in the Artillery branch to Forward Observers

Tactical Autonomy in the Command & Control currently has the description:
"Independent action is the mother all successes".
Would read better as
"Independent action is the mother of all successes"
Also consider possibly removing the S from commands in that same description, so it reads:
"Let it flourish under our command"

If possible, combine the stat read-outs for most nodes in the Infantry branch by unit type. Currently, there are two sentences per unit.

For example:
Attritional Defense

Infantry:
- Recovery Rate: +0.20
Infantry:
- Defense: +5%

*The same for Motorised/Mechanised*

The changed version would read:
Attritional Defense

Infantry:
- Recovery Rate: +0.20
- Defense: +5%

*The same for Motorised/Mechanised*

As a side note, do the infantry buffs apply to special forces infantry as well? And the Mot/Mech bonuses of the Armored branch, do they apply to Amtracs?

Sadly it does not seem possible to do it even though there's a specific category for recon? (Recon batallion multipliers don't seem to work properly, only alternative is either do as Paradox did so far (give batallion modifiers to a single, specific recon batallion) OR do as i did and list them all

That's the thing, in Encourage Local Initiative i used category_recon and it didn't work, so i had to fix it with the list method.

I have no clue how to do that, working on it as we speak

Thanks for all the observations!

Not something to add to the mod itself, but something behind the scenes that could help with compatibility would be having techs that are just the vanilla techs that auto unlock when you get far enough down a doctrine's tree but that don't do anything besides having that tech unlocked

This would make it compatible with mods like RT56 and Eight Years War of Resistance that gate certain kinds of progression behind doctrine techs or the extra tactics from one of the Better Mechanics mods (Combat I think)

@Wuzzle (trans rights!) gonna work on that for (ideally) next week's update, thanks for the suggestion!

No problem!
Something that would be interesting to add to the doctrines would be cavalry focused nodes for countries that can't make more advanced stuff, though i'd only have these appear early on since cav wasn't widely used in combat past 1942
Currently with this mod, all doctrine cost reduction effects apply universally to all 4 doctrines. This make the originally doctrine-specific effects too strong, invalidating the alternative.

I noticed that, it's caused by the fact that all doctrines belong in the same "category" (as in, Infantry, Artillery, Command and Tank doctrines are all classified under the 4 vanilla docs).
This was initially a workaround as you would not be able to choose your preferred tactics otherwise.

Sadly i know of no way to work around this (other big mods like World Ablaze just give all the tactics for all the doctrines at specific points in each branch, meaning everyone has the same tactics, which i don't like).

I'm fairly split between keeping it as is or doing the WA solution, i'm open to feedback and opinions regarding this!
