Not here yet, not gonna happen for the foreseeable future either (but at least the air doc mod has concepts of a plan, the navy one not so much)
where is the your doctrine mod for navy & airforce ? lol
AI majors have proper scripting (meaning Germany is more likely to go down its historical path) and now they will also create their divisions based on their doctrines (small changes usually, mainly in the support companies that they use and sometimes the field batallions)
As always please tell me your opinion on the update, mistakes, errors, bugs and balance changes you'd like to see.
Gonna have to finish up this one first, there's still a few improvements/fixes to do, gonna start modding again as summer ends
After this i'm planning on releasing another project, not doctrine related
After that who knows, might actually do an air doctrine rework, but not sooner than in a year realistically
(Also i'm praying that paradox reads the room and does their own doctrine rework, making mine not that useful)
It is compatible with KR by sheer luck, i have not been made aware of any KX patches so far.
regarding the army spirits: gonna have to look into them but i'm 90% it's some goofy behaviour caused by me not properly copypasting/overlapping with the OG ones
Regarding the UI you are correct in your unwillingness to even get near it. Save yourself, do not follow my path
I did some shenanigans, aka deleted all vanilla army spirits from army_spirits file in \common folder. i left only these that you have added.
Then I launched the game. Gave myself xp with cheats and completed all doctrinal trees.
Then went to check Army Spirits tab. Voila. All the vanilla spirits were already there, and your's were there too. Make of that whatever you want. Apparently army_spirits file does not replace the corresponding file in game files. They complement each other. Hence why doubling occurred.
Dunno about UI glitches still, I am mostly map/focuses/events/spirits guy in regarding to hoi4 modding, and I don't touch GFX and UI with 10-foot pole.
Regarding the connections (once again, not gamebreaking, just a little annoying) i'm going to have to experiment with adding invisible techs because adding a starting stage for all doctrines would look just as bad for me, also the UI REALLY wan't made for this sort of trees, usually the xors the devs implemented in the game were 2 way ones, not the beautiful mess i created (and that's not gonna change)
The solution would be to add first starting stage for every doctrine, and have it branch out after that.

Mod development is halted for the next 2 weeks at least, possibly more
Project's not totally over for now
Next projects in the mod are going to be:
-Templates
-Historical AI priorities for majors
-Some decorative touch ups
-Army Spirits
