Bug reports
Please report bugs in this thread.

When reporting an error, please make sure to explain what is not working and how to reproduce. Also, please include a stack trace. Simply saying "I get an error" is not enough.

I leave no guarantees for debugging tools. They are for debugging and playing with those npcs will not be representative of what mod can do, so use at your own risk.

If you are getting any lua errors when there is a new update, please double check that you have updated to the latest version. You can double-check the version by looking at the watermark to the bottom right of the in-game screen e.g. KEE: v0.2.16.

Currently known issues
  • Npcs will sometimes jump through fences if there is a hoppable object next to it (best example is at the Louisville checkpoint).
  • Having a npc follow you while they are phased out (more than 40 squares away), causes the game to lag slightly.
  • Pathing while clearing corpses can cause npcs to become stuck, since the pathfinding assumes they can jump over a fence.
  • Some corpses are not identified as needed to be cleared, even if within the corpse clear zone.
  • The npcs will try to dump animal corpses, which doesn't work for some reason.

i see, similar lines in old firsts posts, "(This is an old error I found before release that seems to have been reintroduced when I imported patch 42.0.2. I will readd this fix again,so this doesn't happen.)" perhaps returns?

Err when I was using K15 vehicles the NPC, when sat down will have their upper body glitched through the roof of the vehicle due to the animations... maybe compatibility?.. please?..

I've been playing this mod for a few hours and here are some things I've noticed!

1) NPC's don't loot houses completely (seen assigning NPC to loot house for food)

2) NPC will attack zombies that are inside houses (if player is close enough to a zombie that is inside a house, against a window, the NPC will break the window to kill the zombie)

3) NPC's get stuck sometimes when following player. I'm not sure what triggers it, but I see it happening randomly (i've seen NPC's stuck on fences and buildings (the building happened when I sent NPC's to barricade it and then sent them to follow/meet me back to the spot))

4) Following NPC's go into different rooms from player if player is too close to the wall, this is seen when player is walking through a confined space (hallway, for example) and the NPC is trying to reach the player by going to the room next to the player

5) NPC's have no personal space; espcially when having the max amount of NPC's following the player, if is hard to get by the NPC's as they are unmovable and they are stacked upon each other (this is seen when having the max amount of NPC's follow the player into a room ((they may block the door))

Just started a new run, logged out while driving and had 2 passengers with me. Logged back in and they disappeared, no longer in my group.

Hi just some small advice, could you make the allies npc to spread out a little bit when they following you, as of now they tend to bunch up together when following me around, kinda bump into each other and hinder they movement, aside from that the mods really getting together nicely, some command like pilling corps, working now, and they really put up a good fight against a horde not panicking and running around aimlessy, and retreat themself to the safehouse if they sustain heavy damage, it's great. Just please make them shut the car door after exiting, thats kinda dangerous. Thanks for the great npc mods.

Oh yeah and could you give the option to switch weapon from firearms to melee weapon in the npc setting (not manualy set one by one per-npc) because one shot could attract alot of problem.
I run with a team of 8 people, and there are always two people stuck inside, moving a little distance, or running for a short distance before stopping. The shooting distance of firearms is actually very long, for example, the shooting distance of M16 firearms is very long, but NPC only shoots when zombies approach and the distance is very close, and the hit rate is limited. Perhaps NPC shooting and guarding should be determined based on the shooting distance of different firearms. When running, they always get stuck together in pairs, moving slowly bit by bit, which may be due to two models getting stuck or requiring a certain distance for each NPC to move. I am a Chinese player and the above feedback was completed by a translation software.

Game & Mod are updated. No errors occur but split-screen player 2 is still ignored by NPCs created with this mod even when hostile. Attacks just phase through

Issue: not being able to perform wound treatment on friendly NPCs - whenever I do so, my character does it to himself instead; for example, I decided to apply a bandage to an npc's wound, my character will then proceed to apply the bandage to himself instead of the npc he's treating... same goes to all medical treatment, stitching, disinfecting, etc.

I haven't seen any errors popping out... so I'm assuming it's just a bug from the mod itself... any thoughts?
There is something weird happening with claiming/releasing safehouses. I used the menu release safehouse while away from the base and now I can't claim another building. Tried going to the old safehouse to try to release it there but that didn't work either.

loaded my save after updating the game and reinstalling the mod, all my npcs are gone from party :steamsad:
yeah this mod doesn't work for me now at all, no npcs on map

1st this is a wonderful mod ! i'm thinking about making an extension of it with ChatGPT for dialogue with NPC :p
This is my bug report : all works well, but after a "long" playing session (about 30/45 min), i noticed some lags and screen stuttering.
I must quit the game and relaunch for fix it.
