Both mods modify "event/GriffonianEmpire Events.txt"

id = imperial.44 specifically does not work as is in Gloria Rising causing Grover VI to *always* take the throne instead of Gloria ever being able to.

There may be more issues, but that's what I found.

Finally, I'm not sure what the reason is, but the version of "event/GriffonianEmpire Events.txt" in the mod does not account for if Grover VI died or not? (The following is not present):

I'd ask that I'm presented with a fix, or this mod is fixed to work alongside Gloria Rising, or that you de-list Gloria Rising as a good mod to put along side this one (at least without a warning saying it may not work).
