Report a translation problem
I might do a weapon storage of some kind, but no clothes or armor. I want to leave that for shelves. No idea when I'll add that, though.
I'll think about a specific meal storage option. Originally I wanted to leave meals for vanilla shelves but I can see why something more specific, with more storage space might be nice, especially for larger colonies.
Also, thanks for the boxes that show what's contained in them such as wood and steel. Love them a bunch.
The steel crate is a 5/1 and can store almost anything.
Can we get some other things that match that ratio but are more specialized? I'd love to have a linen basket by my tailor, but atm I may as well just put a steel crate there.
Something like "warehouse shelf" to store unused production stations would be incredible. Unsure if it's possible but if we could see the little minified stations, that would be awesome.
I'd really like there to be some 5/1s or 10/2s for food/meal types. Like a shelf tray or something.
Pantry as a 2x2 or 2x1 could be good for storing lots of food. Hooks for something to store frozen animals.
I was also beat to medicine cabinet.
Trough for storing hay would be great, I leave it out with my animals and sometimes it's decaying despite being 30 degrees out.
A hardware style wood shelf, and a larger roundwood pile that takes up more space but stores much more.
Anything for better chunk storage. 1/tile isn't enough for places that do a lot of mining. 1/4 of all stone mined drops a chunk, and I don't want 1/4 of my base to be chunk storage. Similarly a brickpile neatly stacked.
Lots of stuff to think about.
I'll think about a linen basket, though I'm hesitant to add something that can already be stored in multiple other buildings. I started this mod because I was annoyed that other storage mods always had too many superfluous options, which is why I want to think about every building I add. There are already other dedicated buildings I'm planning, that I think have higher priority.
There are several buildings that can store buildings, so I don't see any reason too add another one.
I'm already working on doing meal storage. Not sure when that will be finished.
I won't be doing medicine storage. I think shelves are fine for that.
I'll think about something to store hay and maybe kibble. Though, if I remember correctly, hay does not only decay outside, but also rots. There isn't much I can do about rotting.
Chunks can already be stored in the industrial dumpster, which can store 6/tile. Which I think is pretty good, especially as most of the time players also use a lot of chunks. While that might not seem all that much while you hollow out a mountain, I think it's in a good place right now.
I tested with spawning chunks and the dumpster only held two chunks total.
And understandable, I was just trying to avoid spamming the exact same crate all over my base. Other things that matched the efficiency but were specialized and use different costs seemed like a good alternative.
Last time I checked the dumpster worked as intended, but I'll test that again, just to be sure
Just feels kinda wrong to have them lying on the floor after I've taken the time to set up a nice n' tidy freezer, so even if it's just a visual thing only that still stores a single animal corpse per tile, I'd still take it.
Only other mod I've seen adding something for this is deep storage's meat hook, but just like you said, deep storage adds way too many extra clutter that I don't really need.

Shelves for books, newspapers, and papers from Research Data where you can see what's lying inside (maybe they can link to the research table for research speed)
- A platform where you can put several sculptures on display. Maybe with reduced beauty stat. It allows you to put more "beauty" in less space but you need to produce more art.
