READ ME: If you haven't played the original SNES version.
Much to my pleasure, we are receiving players who have no knowledge of the original. Unfortunately these players tend to have a harder time because they don't know what to expect.

The game tells the story of your magical awakening. You grind your way through various enemies while performing tasks for your mentor spirit Dog.

During the beginning of the game, you will struggle to survive. You are ill equipped and don't have access to gear. The only weapons you find are a gun and a pipe (and you can purchase grenades and health kits).

Eventually more options open up, you gain access to a basic weapons shop, gain the ability to deck, and start awakening your magical abilities.

Its important to note, you can NEVER buy magical spells, you have to earn them through quests. You will not be able to buy spirits, you will need to rely on finding them on the map.

Your character CANNOT deck until you reach a certain point in the game. Until a certain "switch" is thrown, no computers are accessible to your character (though you can hire someone else to do it for you).

If you are importing a character, expect an easy time of the fights. You will not have access to your gear. I recommend against this because you really won't get the proper feel for the game.

If you are creating your own new character, make sure you can hold your own in a fight. Don't waste points on lots of specific weapon types, the only weapons available in the beginning are a pistol and a pipe. Points spent on other weapons WILL hinder you. Don't invest in spellcasting, decking or rigging until you unlock in in game.

One last thing to be aware of - sleeping. In the original game you could ONLY save when you found a bed. As you can see we were much nicer than that. Also, the ONLY time you could redeem karma was when you slept. You will see messages saying you earned karma, but when you look at your character sheet it won't be there. You need to redeem it at a bed before you can spend it!

Hopefully you will enjoy our tribute to a "classic" Super Nintendo game.
