RUNTIME ERROR FIX
http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,316863.0.html

Firestorm: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,316863.0.html
KaleShibata: so the loading textures on demand is part of the issue. I have that turned off as it causes an amazing amou nt of game chugging in anything high end battle graphics settings. (I presume too much too fast)
KaleShibata: (or battles with too many units in general I noticed)
Firestorm: mmhhhmmmm
KaleShibata: alright lets give this a shot starting from the bottom.
Firestorm: ^^
KaleShibata: ok turning off threaded optimization hlps with the character creator, and load textures on demand is on. so those were likely both the problems.
Firestorm: Good :)
KaleShibata: ok lets try the next part of this
KaleShibata: ok runs with Direct X 9 active.
KaleShibata: Last part of this is obviously resource demand, so lets try putting some of those back on.
KaleShibata: Ok! so it works now
KaleShibata: Threaded Optimization was the issue
KaleShibata: that and of course Textures on demand,

There are many solutions to this error, and there are many sources and causes of the error as well. Some things I find to work often are these:

Load Textures on Demand can either be turned off or on. For some it works when it's disabled, for others it works when it's enabled. It depends on your rig.

Threaded Optimization can also be the reason. For some it should be disabled, for others it should be enabled. This also depends on your rig - some rigs don't have this option (mine doesn't), but it'll have another CPU setting instead (Force Single Threading). Try disabling/enabling that one.

Those are the two fixes I find to work most of the time. Just try launching the game with those disabled or enabled. I received the same error to begin with. My fix was to enable Load Textures on Demand.

Do You Mean Force Single Threading? That Is The Closest Thing To Threaded Optimization.

Yes

Force Single Threading is the other CPU settings I talked about, yes. Will add it to the post.

For someone who isn't techy...how do I do these? Is it a game setting or a computer setting?

Hey guys none of them work for me. I tried unchecking and checking all the boxes you mentioned (Loaded Textures and the other Force Single Threading thing), none work I tried with 1 on , I tried with the other one on, I tried with both on, I tried with both off and nothing. The game still crashes and dies when I try to start a new game with Perisno mod. And just as a note, having the loaded textures on allows me to actually enter the menu, with them off the game just dies when it is loading. Any other possible solutions? Really I don't want to rate this thing 1 star.

for me just check "load textures on demand" resolve runtime issue
ZX Zero Nov 19, 2017 @ 5:11am
I fixed my game problem with runtime and Visual c++, just uninstalling all visual c++ x86 and let only x64 and reinstalling the game and mods, now works very well.
