VVE wants to use CE ammo but I turned off CE ammo.

Is it possible to add a setting where VVE uses it's original ammo type, that being steel? I didn't like the ammo feature for CE so I turned it off. VVE continues to use CE ammo whilst I can't even produce or spawn ammo into the map due to the CE ammo setting turned off.
