Bug Reports
This is a centralized topic to report bugs, since the new topics created don't send you a notification.

If you want us to take a look at your error, we NEED you to submit error logs. It is crucial you provide us with Hugslib logs - we are not interested in comments ‘X doesn’t work because Y’, and we will not reply to those, even delete them if they hide proper bug reporting. Hugslib logs are what tells us, devs, what went wrong, and what mods you were using.

IF YOU DON'T POST A HUGSLIB LOG, YOUR REPORT WILL BE DELETED FROM NOW ON TO AVOID CLUTTER.

To get hugslib logs, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running, then press CTRL-F12 while in game and copy the link to us.

If Hugslib is not an option:

Note that you can find your logs at \steamapps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64_Data\output_log.txt and you can share it with me by uploading it to https://pastebin.com

Heya Sarg,

Getting some errors on startup. I've loaded this mod at the very bottom of my list, and I only get the errors when it's loaded. No idea what any of it means.

I have VFE mechs and pirates turned on (with Alpha Mechs at the very bottom).
I also have 2 trait icon mods "Trait Rarity Colors" and then "Trait and Backstory Icons"

I uploaded my log to this public server:
https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/981f45b0a63b03b35522f63bf1e5bd56

These are the 3 errors:
Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.StatDef named GlobalWorkSpeed found to give to RimWorld.StatModifier (null stat)
Could not resolve cross-reference to VFECore.Abilities.AbilityDef named AM_MechConversion (wanter=abilities)
Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.StatDef named GlobalWorkSpeed found to give to RimWorld.StatModifier (null stat)

Error on TraitIcons: A trait had a null modContentPack, very few things should break, trait icons will now ignore this trait, notify the trait's mod author of this error, this is not TraitIcons's fault. Trait was VFEP_WarcasketTrait_Mech/Mech warcasket

I'm getting the same error as Renzor

The "Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.StatDef named GlobalWorkSpeed found to give to RimWorld.StatModifier (null stat)" and so on

I have no idea what mod could be causing it... I did a search of all the mod's files and I'm not using GlobalWorkSpeed anywhere

I'm going through mine now to see if I'm able to pin point what might be causing it.

Yeah the error seems to pop up when I have Vanilla expanded: pirates activated along with it

the mod for some reason starts up an error of "could not resolve blah blah" when it's loaded together with: Vanilla Factions expanded - mechanoids - at least that's where the global work speed problem comes from. I have no idea what causes problems with conversion but probably still VFE mechs

Okay upon reading this I just tested taking the pirate mod out, and all the errors went away.

So yea it's the VFE Pirate mod creating a conflict 100%. I haven't noticed what the error actually does to the game, but I imagine when I run into Pirate stuff it will become apparent.

I had it loaded before Alpha Mechs originally, tried moving it to being one of the first mods loaded, tried moving it after Alpha Mechs at the bottom, and now totally removed it.
Totally removing was the only way to get rid of the errors.

I have it loaded with VFE Mechs. I have Alpha Mechs near the bottom of my mod list, with VFE Mechs above it somewhere. No errors with that combination.

Thanks, it must be the warcasket, I wonder why windows didn't find the text string, but oh well, it's windows...

I'm afraid there is still some problem with the 'AM_MechConversion' ability itself. I don't know about others, but I still see the error "Could not resolve cross-reference to VFECore.Abilities.AbilityDef named AM_MechConversion (wanter=abilities)" after updating
Sarg Bjornson  [developer] May 9, 2023 @ 12:55am
Ah right, forgot about that one... that'll be a bit harder to fix
Virstag May 9, 2023 @ 1:40am
And yet it only took you about half an hour, thank you

It was easier than I thought!

After loading this mod (mid-playthrough), ResearchPowl is complaining about an array index out of bounds error. I went back in, dequeued all my research and it still happens. Any ideas how to fix this?
Sarg Bjornson  [developer] May 9, 2023 @ 2:31am
No idea, but that would be on their side...
