A fully updated guide for MP w/ an easier copy-paste config
EDIT: if you'd like to install this map pack with a ton of other compatible mods, see my collection here.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3276222001

Ok so I just suffered for like 5 hours to get this working fully so I figured I would write this down for those who are confused like I was. Requires you to want all of the map mods included

Note: after adding all of the collection manually get rid of St. Paulo, as it is incompatible with mp

This is needed because the map pack was updated more recently than the spreadsheet was, with the spreadsheet enabling the incorrect version (legacy) of one mod, also having a broken one (st paulo) enabled, and having one that is no longer in the collection seemingly

You will need to follow their guide, but read what I say below the link first. (Also, only enable Mod Manager and M.M. Server in the "mods" section (NOT server mods) prior to doing this) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3187649518
When you get to step 3, the easiest way to enable the correct ones is by clicking preset, enable all, then manually disable these, by searching what is in the quotes and disabling what is in the parentheses:
"Hopewell, KY" (with zombies, only 1)
"Legacy" (all of the ones that say legacy IN THE NAME, 3 total)
"Old" (Access road old version, disable 1, 2 of the searched items should be disabled)
"[" <- that is a bracket (Muldraugh Safehouse [H])
"Mod " (Disable mod template and mod manager, 4 of them should unselect)

Now go to step 4 and do as it says, ignoring the muldraugh, KY comment. That is for later
Note: sometimes you think you saved the order but the game actually didnt. restart the game to check if the load order saved, if so, just do as it says until step 7

now go to step 7, and note that the config file is the "name of the server save you made" + .ini
instead of replacing all that crap it says to, simply go to where is says map= and replace muldraugh, ky with what is in this pastebin: https://pastebin.com/3spyffLz

it should look like
map=long;a$$;list;of;stuff

if you don't trust me and want to do it manually, go https://getcollectionids.moonguy.me/ here, type in the ID at the end of the search bar when you go to the main page of this collection, click submit, get mod IDs, save the list of map folders on the right, manually remove all map folder names that match those of the map mods you deselected above. note that software deletes ", KY" from multiple map mods AND uses , instead of ; in a lot of situations. GL,
if you did that, you can use that now-filtered list in the map= part instead

now do step 10, in that same config file as before.
and do step 11 and as for 12.
Note that the first time you load in, it will take forever as it has to redownload all of your subscriptions used in the server to a folder in the PZ steam folder, it is oddly in the location "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600", NOT your main workshop location. so if your mods didn't load in, check if it even got downloaded. you may have to completely delete your steamapps folder that is IN project zomboid to have it redownload everything.

An easy way to check is by editing the server settings and turning on reveal all in the in-game map part.

I just did this 4 times so I'm confident this is the 100% way to get it working, and I will probably be releasing a large collection of mods including (and largely due to) this map pack, but it will essentially have a lot of cars, clothing, weapons, tools, etc added for variety. on top of this modpack. i'll probably edit this and say i did, if i do

Itself and the guide is attatched!
I know, it looks a little goofy. it's for my friends, but its 198 201 mods that are actually compatible.

Thanks for your work man. All that pain could have been avoided by a simple load order logic from the map pack owner, practically all I needed to do was to set their particular map pack's order at the start of my own modset's load order, instead of having to troubleshoot potential conflicts.

you mention st.paulo (SPH) being incompatible in mp.
no it isnt.
we are using SPH since this map came out basically and now in this map pack too, on our server since 2 wipes.

While I greatly appreciate this guide, it is a little outdated now. I've updated my own guide, linked in the description. St Paulo appears to be functioning fine in multiplayer. There is a load order in the description of the collection (always has been). :spiffo:
