So jumped on here, cause I'm about to start playing zomboid and LOVE large maps and exploring. Just wanted to check if this Collection works with latest Build 42?

I'm using this collection and some other mods too. For example KI's b700 bus. But I could not reach the interior of the bus. It says interior could not be loaded would you like to return to ...
If I want to add more mods on top of the map mod, do I add them to the last of order?

The load order I am mentioning you posted in your discord. The one on the google docs was in a different format. I posted it in the discussions section.

We did waste hours trying to get this map load order to work before joining the discord and finding your .ini. Please post your map mod load order here or on the google docs page :)

Map load order was issue. Using the one Jizzajacuzzii posted on Feb 5th, 2025 on their discord fixed it.

New Albany is not loading for me, the map just ends at the norther bridge. The rest is loading for me though. Not seeing any conflicts on the Map Mod Manager. On B41.

@Kingdark, yes they are all still compatible. The locations don't change, and if they did, I would remove the conflicting maps. :spiffo:

Given the recent comments, can I assume that all these maps are still compatible with each other even today? The last update was from November? which is almost half a year ago now.

Thanks for the comments, I was able to get the server started by searching Bours and Goon in my server ini file, then also removing 2968600175 and 2909277504!

Thank you very much. The server admin did exactly that and restored our save. We lost a few hours of progress but that's better than bricking the save entirely. :steamthumbsup:

Hey y'all, unfortunately yeah - Bourstrange and Goonie Base were removed from the workshop and may have bricked your saves if you were playing with them. You can chunk reset those areas or there are re-uploads on the workshop that you can put in place.

I'm really sorry to anyone this has affected, we shouldn't have to do this (again). Any maps by that creator won't be used going forward. I'll update everything to make sure it's completely gone from the collection.

I deleted Gargisnar's two map mods (Bourstrange and Goonie Base) and my players can now access the server. It's a shame they deleted the maps. :(

The guy who made Bourstrange deleted his mod (+ one other map, workshop ID 2968600175 and 2909277504) from the workshop, now our current playthrough is screwed 'coz we were in that map and the server keeps looking for that workshop item, which is now deleted, not allowing players to connect due to "missing files".

I don't know what reason he deleted that map without warning, but please be warned about that map and remove that + whatever creations that guy has on the collection. If you cannot trust the modder to not suddenly pull his mod from public then it shouldn't be used.

@TheXilence - quite a while ago, as I've updated the collection maps have been added and removed, have a look at the pinned Changelog discussion to see what was removed :spiffo:

@panggs™ It happens because you can't manage to load all the maps, it happened to me too. The only solution is that you give up some maps or try to create a dedicated server.

Back again. Singleplayer is still working fine with all my mods, but when trying to host after following the guide - I get host game terminated after trying to load the world. Both with just the maps and with my mods included

had alot of trouble getting this going with my own modcollection but it sorted itself once i found out it was a out of memory error. a simple -Xmx edit fixed my loading issues

@jacuzzi Just followed the guide in the description for adding a new map to an existing save and it's up and running! All my mods are working alongside yours now :D

@panggs - RV interior needs to be added with the map pack when you first create the world, otherwise I don't think it will load properly. Try a new save with maps + RV Interior (because it has it's own map) and it should work fine :spiffo:

@jacuzzi The issue wasn't with your map collection, it was just with the map collection in addition to my own modpack! I've been playing without issue, but the only thing that isn't working for me is the RV interior mod. It keeps saying "Interior map hasn't loaded, return to the vehicle now"

@panggs - maps can take a really long time to load in, especially the first time you load them. As you cannot add maps to an existing save, my advice is to first test a save with just the map mods, if you still cannot load that then try half of the maps and the dependencies. If it does work, then add in other own mods, either all at once or in batches, up to you really. :spiffo:

@A.Majeztic I was able to run it successfully. Load up the map modpack, quit out, then load up my own personal modpack of over 120 mods. Guess it was a load order conflict with one of my own mods

so i have almost all the mods installed (minus a few, I just didnt want) on my client and enabled. however when i try and host a server with 10GB of server memory. i load into the server, create a character pick a spawn as usual. It then says this is how you died... there was no hope of survival, it then "crashes"? and says lost connection to server?... no other red error message.

anyone got a fix? or similar issue?

@sididdle - no stress, St Paulo had issues in multiplayer for a while but they seem to have since resolved :spiffo:

quick sidenote to the guide you replied to on dec 1st - I believe i stated that the st. paulo map wasn't working, as I tested which maps would be added to the physical map (like the one in the top corner in game, i did this using pzmap2dzi on github). At that time i believe it simply would not load into that map, which gave me the impression that it did not work.
Regardless, good stuff my man.

@Joux - every single mod will break in build 42, I plan to give the map makers a few weeks before starting the collection again. Not too sure if I'll start a new collection or modify this one yet, as you will still be able to access 41 until experimental is over for 42. :spiffo:
