Edit: The spawns I'm getting are all either small grid trucks or totally decrepit bases that are only good for completely grinding down. I haven't found a single power cell or assembler or anything really useful in those 4 hours.
Don't know what I make wrong.
Tested it on the Ice Planet and Pertam... or how it is named.
On Earth like Planet, I spawned in a Mountain Region and couldn't find my way out. No indicator were to go, no Pad with Coordinates, nothing and a Rover that can't be "Upgraded" because the Bug with the "Grinding for Blueprints" not works.
Sad, That Szenario looked promessing. :-(
Assemblers are not really a thing in this. The entire point of the scrapyard is that there is no mining or assembling... you have to find it all lying around.
You also never get new blueprints.
As far as spawning issues, after starting the scenario, make sure to add the MES Settings mod to the mod list and it'll overwrite the default MES spawn settings. (Link to that mod is in the description of the Scrapyard scenario, it's otherwise unlisted.)
MES settings was originally intended to be included with the Scenario, but it had issues trying to change MES settings before there was a player, which crashed the game. A proper fix hasn't been found. Once you've spawned in, it's fine to add the mod to the mod list.
Yeah my comment wasn't that I hadn't found power cells in cargo containers, it was that I hadn't found ANY power cells at all, including in blocks.
Basic Assemblers are totally a thing in this. They're used for breaking down certain components, and you can build new ones from the materials. Obviously there's no refineries, so there's no need for mining, but assemblers still have usefulness, especially in breaking down ammo to get magnesium to make different ammo.
Don't think I said anything about blueprints.
MES just works on distance travelled, there's a timeout though so you won't get a spawn every (for eg) 3km it'll be 3km and after 6mins, and only then if it can find a suitable spawn location...
Just gotta keep on trucking lol
Patience is one thing, but that's a long wait for a train don't come.

It is missing two frontal thrusters but I can fly around like an airplane and slow down by either turning 180 degrees or climbing abruptly and then goin down verticaly.
Flying is such a great achievement in this mod. You have no idea how you appreciate it unlike in the vanilla game where it is super easy to have. Thank you Splitsie and the others who are helping out for making this mod... it might just save Space Engineers.
