Use Aerocraft to trade with factions and traverse map. (WORK AROUND FOUND)
Found a work around for using aerocraft to trade with factions and traverse long distances. You will need the Set-Up camp mod which will allow your caravans to set-up camp thus generating a map. FIRSTLY and MOST IMPORTANT in the mod options for set-up camp, ENABLE permanent camps, this will ensure the camp does not instantly destroy when you cross map, you can disable it afterwards which then destroys the permanent campsite or not.

1. Load pawns & the Aerocraft (the ones that can load pawns and items) into drop pods.
2. Launch the drop pods into faction base for desired trading (yes drop pods can do this)
3. Trade
4. Once caravan has formed move the caravan away from settlement, with a tile space in between since you cant set up camp next to it.
5. Once map has generated find pawn with the aerocraft in inventory, drop it and install into empty space
6. Load all the pawns & any dropped items into the aerocraft
7. Press the cross-map and select your base, Aerocraft will then fly to base
8. It will then spawn on the edge of base and hey presto you have done SRTS type of trading.

This work around involves a lot of steps, but is the only way afaik to be able to trade quickly.

Sorry,I don't know if I should modify the cross map logic so that it can be used for transactions (it's difficult). I think the aircraft in the Vehicle Framework can achieve these (trade with operations and traverse map

This a workaround for now while Vehicle Framework still in the works. Either way your mod is awesome. The Marauder with its rocket pods are great for softening up enemies or messing with Mech clusters without wasting precious pawn lives

So this mod isn't aiming for free traverse on the worldmap or using aerocrafts for any other than raiding missions? Honestly the most fun part of having an aerocraft is the free feeling that you can go anywhere anytime, for example you could use it to fly to a random cell and start there an expedition for mining or hunting, then take anything and fly back home. Isn't that 90% of possibilities that aerocrafts can give you? I mean I understand it is difficult to make, since you mentioned it in the first message, but it really lacks ways of using it otherwise

It has? Because i had troubles with that. Trying to land on a random cell or a friendly event it said invalid point, or in case of trying to go on, for example, research quest opportunity, it flew to the point, then appeared instantly in my home map, so im not sure about that

Oh I mean the trading with faction bases. It works like SRTS. I dont know about the other cases however. But if I recall it still works

Okay, thanks for letting me know. I love the feeling that you can do anything and go anywhere, which SRTS provided, which is why now I use both of them :)

uh... how? unless im dumb this dosnt seem to be the case, the only option i get is to attack

every update messes with it. You have to rebuild your Aerocraft. I suggest using the new Vehicle Expanded mod for trading now. Use this for base defense and attack.
